November 1, 2011

so obvious question here, what is the difference between these the compacts and the regular trail trekking pole? Is it just the collapsable length?

Mammut Brisk Softshell Jacket - Men's

Mammut Brisk Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2011

Such a nice jacket! windproof, 12 oz, pit zips, awesome cut, design, stretch, durability. i layer up and wear it all over snowboarding, climbing, and in the windy winters to the bar. so happy, if they made a hooded version that was almost as light weight it would be heaven for mountain climbing

Norrøna Trollveggen Flex3 Softshell Jacket - Men's

October 26, 2011

weight? This should be a standard in the specs by now. When searching for outerwear for climbing weight it is important, because it addes up quickly along with all the other gear. come on BC

The North Face Catalyst Down Jacket - Men's

October 26, 2011

i throw this over my softshell when i reach a belay while climbing, and its awesome. idk if you were thinking about a softshell over this though, cuz that would probably be tight unless you sized up the softshell. heavy fabric(softshell) over high loft down tends to compress the down therefore you loose loft and that critical space that seperates you from the cold!

The North Face Catalyst Down Jacket - Men's

October 26, 2011

I think you would be alright with a large, maybe an xl because it may be tight at your size through the chest and armpit area with layers

Icebreaker Pocket 200 Beanie

Icebreaker Pocket 200 Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2010

its been good for climbing and other aerobic activities in the cold. fits great under a climbing helmet and completely covers ears from exposure. wicks sweat away very well but is quite thin and not good for real cold or anything you're doing outside where you wont be active. if you have a baclava or face mask that covers your whole head this is a great addition for extreme cold activity or for just sitting on a chair lift.

Rating for this product: 5 December 10, 2009

awesome brand, have last years 20 degree warm n light down and i slept outside this weekend on just a boulder pad and stayed warm. there was ice in a circle around me on the pad and covering my gor tex jacket laying next to me, it got down to 12 degrees and all i had on was a hat and thin base layer. for the price and stuff size theres nothing quality as lafuma for backpacking

yes just the top, it has a front pocket and of course the brain, but neither of them connet to the main compartment, as it would compromise the waterproofing

Arc'teryx Acrux 65 Backpack - 3900-4270 cu in

June 18, 2009

well that and this is an alpine climbing pack whereas the naos is specifically for backpacking and/or trekking. know that the hip pads on this are connected only by straps unlike the naos
