what is the attachment method? the bike I need a cage for, an old garage sale schwinn, does NOT have the little fittings to accept machine screws or whatever on the downtube

been helmet shopping, currently skiing w a ProTec helmet I have used for windsurfing, so NO ear pads!! this helmet seems to be the 2 season ticket. so the summer pad kit: closed cell foam ? ie will it be good for water sports? thank you for your help !
