What differences are there between the Look PX 12 Ti Jib Wide and the Rossignol SAS 2 100? I've skied a version of this style of binding since they were the Look-Nevadas back in the late 60s. Currently on the Rossignol Power 100s from 2004. Still love them, but getting new skis. Thanks.

At age 70 I thought my next ski should be a lighter and wider

At age 70 I thought my next ski should be a lighter and wider ski than my Atomic Metrons, maybe add an hour or two to the day on the mountain. But a ski shop pro said I was assuming incorrectly, that since one is going downhill, it actually takes less to ski a heavier ski and I should not go lighter. It doesn't seem logical that swinging more weight around would take less toll on the muscles than less weight ?
