This is a great fleece jacket. I was skeptical about how well this would stand up to the wind, but today I've been outside in 30 mph wind gusts and I can't feel a thing! Probably not the best thing to have if it's raining (like the description says above), but great for cool dry weather. The fit is pretty true to size and is a little on the "athletic fit" side, which I think is better when you are using in technical situations anyways. It has sturdy zippers on both pockets and two pull toggles at the bottom to really cinch it up tight. I highly recommend this jacket!!!

I haven't logged too many miles with this guy yet, but so far it's more than what I expected. When looking for a new pack I did a lot of research and tried on several packs. I can't believe how well the ventilation and padding worked. I'm usually somewhat sore after a backpacking trip, but my shoulders felt nothing after my most recent trip. It handled very well in some rough terrain and all of my gear stayed in place. You can pack this backpack very well too. It has several straps to tighten it down similar to a stuff sack. I think this is really helpful for the weight distribution. Bottom line is that it's loaded with a lot of features and for light backpacking, I doubt you'll find a better pack.

I just got back from using this tent in the Rockies. This guy got the job done. The first night there it rained non-stop and I was completely dry inside. The Spitfire is VERY light weight which was a huge plus when backpacking. This kind of sounds dumb, but probably my favorite thing about it is its ability to be packed back up. Most tents I've had in the past are a real chore to get back into their storage sack. This one has actually has room to spare. It doesn't come with a footprint, but you can buy one separately and still store it with the tent. My only complaint about it, is that there aren't a lot of things to hook to on the inside. When I go backpacking I like to be able to hang stuff up on the inside to dry / air out. I ended up taking some extra cord and making some loops off of the main cross support and letting it hang through one of the vents. All in all, a great tent for the price.

Very comfortable and durable pants. These are a great alternative to convertibles. I know some people do not like convertibles because the zippers rub on their knees after a long hike. These pants breath very well so there is no need for convertibles. UPDATE: I just got back from some mountaineering this weekend. We hit some rough terrain with a lot of loose rock, which meant a lot of sliding on my butt and legs. It wasn't pretty, but I'm amazed at how well these pants held up. Not a single knick or loose thread after this. These pants are amazing!!

This is probably the best fleece jacket that has been made. Simply classic. It has great functionality which gets overseen by the 5 billion people who own it and wear it to the mall and never try it out in the backcountry. My only criticism of this product is that I wish it had more "athletic" fit. It is a little bulky.

Great socks! I own a couple pairs and they have lasted a few years. Very durable and a great price!

Good shirt. A little baggy fit to it so that is something to consider. I was not real sure what material "modal" was but I purchased it anyway. I was looking for more of lightweight shirt for hiking, this is not it. I do think this is a great shirt for cooler temps though. I definitely plan on wearing it when I go on some late Fall hikes. This shirt is super soft and looks great. It is rugged enough for any outdoor adventure, but nice enough to wear out on the town.

Does everything it says it will do. I like that it has an attached stuff sack so it is quick and easy to pack and get it out. This guy fits really well to my pack. I have a Medium and with my Gregory Z55 after cinching it down with the cord, it fits real snug and I know it will not blow off in a storm. Great fly! Buy this guy!!

This is good for quick day trips where you don't need a lot of gear. It fits great with the small shoulder straps and chest / waste clips. This is a very functional bag that allows quick and easy access to your gear. The description does not state that you can pack this guy up. You can roll this bag up to about the size of a water bottle. This makes it great for backpacking when you want to go on a short hike away from camp. I plan on using it for a summit hike in a couple of weeks and I know it will hold its own. I highly recommend this guy!

This is a great light weight fleece. I like to use if for early morning hikes. It allows enough breathing to not over heat you. Size seems true and is a great fit.

This is a good fleece. Pretty much all North Face fleeces are. My only complaint is that it runs pretty big, but it is not as heavy weight / bulky as the North Face Denali. Hope that helps. This guy works great under my shell and I use it a lot for higher elevation hikes.

I love this jacket. I disagree with some of the reviews on its waterproofing. This jacket has held its own in every rainstorm I have ever been in. I think the arm vents provide great ventilation, but if you want more, you can unzip the chest pockets, which ends up being a great position with a pack on. This is a very light weight jacket with great functionality. The best part is its ability to pack up really small. Great jacket for backpacking!

This is a good product that just flat out works. I use it primarily for coffee at work. It will keep my coffee warm for hours. My only complaint about this guy is that it dents very easily. It has a nice sleek design, but it loses its appeal if it gets dented up.

I bought these pants for hiking / backpacking. So far they have lived up to everything I have thrown at them. The elastic waistband is very comfortable, but if you need extra support or reassurance, there is a draw string as well. Compared to other convertible pants, you hardly notice the zipper for the zip-offs. I know on some other pants that can be uncomfortable on your knees after a day of hiking. I highly recommend these pants!!
