Is this jacket warm enough for winter everyday jacket? my kids play out for an hour to two in 34 degree or over. He likes light weight coat but not puffy.

this is a rain jacket, it does not have insulation. If you want to use this jacket as a winter coat you need to do it with proper layering.

On The TNF website it says it's 300 weight fleece but at backcountry says it's 200 weight fleece??? I want to get this fleece jacket for a very active boy, would the jacket be able to stand up to constant wash and not pile up or would the apex be a better jacket for an active boy?

Love the color but not the material

Columbia Steens Mountain Fleece Jacket - Little Boys'

It's a very nice fleece jacket but since I am only getting one a year, I ended up returned the fleece jacket and got a land's end windbloc and water resistant.

Reason:
1. The material is too thin, I don't think it's windproof
2. It does not shed water
3. The material looks like it would pill after wash.

If you are getting your little one more than one fleece jacket, then it's a great looking fleece jacket. I love the price and color.
