Mood Runners?!?!

Salomon XA Comp 3 GTX Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XA Comp 3 GTX Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 13, 2009

I have put about 100 miles on these and I am very happy with their performance on a variety of terrain.
They do keep your feet dry and the tread gives a lot of confidence as I climb or descend trail. The color of the shoe is a good OD green/grey which I like, but I had the weirdest experience on my first run. I straped on the runners and put on my normal running gear including my Jublo Legend sunglasses. I was having a good run in the bright sun when I looked down and my Salomons were a bright rasberry purple! I kind of freaked out- thinking I looked like bozo the clown, until I lifted my glasses and the shoes were OD green/grey again.
Obviously the light reflected off the high tech material, and that is visable through my filtering glasses, is only in the purple wave lengths. Cool- mood shoes! Happy running in the sun produces a joyful purple shoe.
