Black Diamond Mondo Crash Pad

March 26, 2009

As a Dad, I am more concern about her fall. Fortunately, the Mondo did fit the back seat of her 2008 Honda Civic. Just push the two front seats forward, release the recliners and fit the Mondo into the back seat. Than slide the two seats back and adjust the recliners. My daugther is 5'-1" and she loves the Mondo.

Kelty Green River 6 Tent 6-Person 3-Season

Kelty Green River 6 Tent 6-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 March 16, 2009

Pitched this tent up for the first time in my back yard today.
Stretched and laid out the four poles as instructed.
Mistaken the fly cover for the tent and couldn't find the holes and which was the top or bottom side of tent.
(Strange how nothing match the instruction?) Oh, there is another material inside the bag and it turn out to be the tent. The bigger wrapped material was the fly cover.
Now I'm in business. Orientated the tent on the footprint and there I go. It was easy to put up by myself. However, it took an little imagination and resourcefulness to get the fly cover over the top of the tent. Got it by using a rope attached to the fly and throwing the rope over the tent to the back side.
Tent has a lot of snaps and tie downs, but it looks great. Wife came out from the house to checked it out. She loves the roomy tent and height with storage compartments.
The next time it will take me less time to put up, now that I am familiar with it. Piece of cake.

Black Diamond Mondo Crash Pad

Black Diamond Mondo Crash Pad

Rating for this product: 5 February 16, 2009

I am a Dad of a twenty one year old daughter. When she told me that she took up bouldering and the desire to climb boulders at Yosemite's Camp 4, I immediately search the website for reviews and recommendations about crash pads.
The BD Mondo is the one for my daughter. Although expensive, I figure my daughter's health and welfaare is at risk. How can I say to anyone or myself, if my daughter gets hurt from bouldering, I wanted to save some money buying a less expensive and smaller pad? At 15 feet above the pad, the pad will look like a postage stamp below.
If you want keep on living to enjoy more of the outdoors, get this pad.
