OK spring/park glove

Burton Superpipe Glove - Men's

Burton Superpipe Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 2, 2009

Pros: Good CA glove, or spring glove. Works well above 32F. Good dexterity. Low profile. Water proof.
Cons: The grip is really cool but it is misplaced on the thumb. It is placed so that it works when you grab something with the thumb and pinky (if that makes sense) but not with the rest of your fingers. It would be better if it covered more of the thumb.

Best pants I have ever owned

Burton AK 3L Hover Softshell Pant - Men's

Burton AK 3L Hover Softshell Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 2, 2009

I was tired of getting wet and having pants rip so I invested in these and I could not be happier. Burton pants fit me way better than any other brand. 5'11" 32W 32L and I wear a Large. I love the pockets, they are the perfect size. Breathability is insane because there are vents on the inside and outside of the thighs that create a wind tunnel over your legs. They are light, on a scale from 1-10 they are a 3 (ha 3L). These pants are the best piece of gear I own. Worth every (discounted 50% off) penny.

Great for the price

Burton Launch Jacket - Men's

Burton Launch Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 2, 2009

I love this jacket. It fits great and the pocket placements are perfect. It is 5K/5000g so it is not that waterproof or breathable, but it is very lightweight. Get it on sale.

Burton AK 3L Hover Softshell Pant - Men's

April 1, 2009

Depends on what kind of style you rock. I am 5"11" with a 32" waist and the large fits me exactly how I like, a little long but not too baggy. I think the inseam on the size chart is the most important measurement so get an XL. You can always wear a belt and the waist adjusters work well.

Not as good as Smarty Command Pants

686 Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply Pant - Men's

686 Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 March 13, 2009

Sure they're 20K rated but that doesn't matter much when they rip. The thermal bottoms ripped at the waistband after the first time I wore them. The pants themselves also ripped the first time I wore them. I traded in my Smarty Command Pants when these went on sale because I thought they would be higher quality. I was wrong. I love 686 and I find their stuff to be super functional and they fit great, especially if you have a big waistline or like to you rock the baggy look. All in all if you are thinking of buying these, don't. Get the smarty command pants, they cost less, they have more pockets, they are totally waterproof enough for almost any condition, and most importantly, they are way more durable.

Great Pants

686 Smarty Command Pant - Men's

686 Smarty Command Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 13, 2009

These pants are functional and durable. The fit is a little off. I think the mediums would fit someone best who wears a 34W and 31L pant (who wears that size?). If you do wear that size or an equivalent larger or smaller size then these pant are perfect for you. As for me (32W 32L) the waist is huge on the mediums and the legs are slightly shorter than I would like. Still they are the best pants I've owned. The liner is great but doesn't look cool by itself, they are more like PJ's. Hope this helps.

Warm and Functional

686 Smarty Marker Jacket - Men's

686 Smarty Marker Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2009

I love this jacket, it is warm and functional with tones of pockets. The liner is great by itself or zipped into the jacket, I'm actually wearing it right now. I am totally from the grunge era so the plaid is right up my alley. As said in the other review the goggle and mobile stash pockets are sweet. Other than the liner my favorite feature is the pass pocket on the cuff. Ya it's a little thing but I don't think I could live without it now. The medium fits me well, 5'9" 38" chest.

The best bag for the buck.

DAKINE Tour Snowboard Bag

DAKINE Tour Snowboard Bag

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2009

This is the best bag for under $45 that I found. PROS: Pockets are great. Tarp on the inside is waterproof. CONS: Watch out for rust on your edges because it does not have any ventilation, I just dry off my board before I pack it. Definitely recommend it for the casual traveler.

Best tool for non backpackers for sure. So small you don't even notice it in your pocket. But when you need it, you'll be glad it's there.

Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 2 February 27, 2009

I have spent a few more days riding with these bindings and they are beginning to come apart. The glue for the material on the inside of the ankle strap is worthless and the material has separated. The padding on the highback is starting to shred away as well. They are light and responsive, and I love the toe cap strap, but it seems that some of the materials are CHEAP. I was told these bindings could take a beating, but I haven't even begun to ride these hard and they are falling apart. Not worth the money.

Stiff But Not Too Stiff

Nitro Team Series Art Attack Snowboard

Nitro Team Series Art Attack Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 February 23, 2009

This is a great all around board. I had the opportunity to try it out in several different elements (park, powder, ice). It is stiff enough to hold its edge at high speed and the sharp edges manage to hold over a little ice. Being stiffer it took a little getting used to in the park, but after some adjustments it performed satisfactorily. I have to say that it wasn't very good in powder, it's not really designed for that aspect of "all mountain" riding. I'll be watching out for sidewall delaminating. Overall if you want a fast, light, affordable all mountain (minus powder) board with some great artwork and a 2 year warranty, the Nitro Team Series is a safe bet.

Nice but pricey

Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 February 23, 2009

These bindings are light weight and responsive. I love the ThinGrip toe straps, they grip your boots and never let go. Sometimes it can be difficult to unbuckle the ankle straps, at least you know they'll never slip off. Only down side is the price $$$. I still love them though.
