The North Face Diez Pullover Down Jacket - Men's

The North Face Diez Pullover Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 17, 2011

I'll start by saying I don't usually go for TNF products, but this jackets weight, shell material and down fill power caught my eye. First off it is practically the same fill weight as the full zip and it weighs a good 5 oz lighter. The stitching on the seams looks strong and well done. Having hand warmer pockets is a plus! I am testing it this weekend on a 30+ mile high peaks hike in NY with temps dipping into the low 30's possibly high 20's. A field test review coming soon.

The North Face Diez Down Jacket - Men's

October 4, 2011

How would this jacket compare to the Rab Infinity? Also does anyone know if this full zip model has the same fill WEIGHT (not fill power) as the Diez pull over?

Grand Trunk Nano-7 Hammock

Grand Trunk Nano-7 Hammock

Rating for this product: 5 August 13, 2011

This hammock coupled with the Integral Designs Siltarp 1 and ENO pro slapstraps make for an UL sleep system worthy of any of the long trails. This hammock is deceivingly sturdy.

Not sure what the sizing issues are

Norrøna Falketind warm1 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Norrøna Falketind warm1 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 11, 2010

I am 6' 165 lbs and usually wear a medium. I bought the medium in this jacket and it fits perfectly. Besides the sizing, the materials, cut and look of this jacket are amazing. I used it as a mid layer snowboarding many times and it works great. Basically in temps down below 10 F I was fine with it over a icebreaker 200g and the insulated NORRONA Loften jacket as my shell. The warmth to weight ratio is very good.

Patagonia Stretch T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 30, 2009

great fit, the spandex addition to the T works really well for active use. I highly recommend this shirt for a casual T or a back up base layer if you forgot a real base.

Burton AK BK Insulator Jacket - Men's - 09/10

Burton AK BK Insulator Jacket - Men's - 09/10

Rating for this product: 4 December 30, 2009

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. The fit is spot on. The weight to warmth ratio is good, not the best but good. The neck height is great for stand alone use or layering. The one issue with the design of the coat is there is no protection from the pitzips. I usually wear a short sleeve under it when out on the town and that metal to skin contact could easily be avoided.

These light-weight trail pants are a fine purchase for the outdoor enthusiast. They are perfect for summer night hikes, fall hiking and all around office wear. They are sized a bit small so be sure to account for the slim frame they are based around.
