Osprey Packs Sojourn 22 Wheeled Convertible Backpack - 2400cu in

November 12, 2009

above stated is true, the meridian does have its own, and superior day pack as an integrated design. however, the sojourn is designed to use one of two other osprey day packs (they connect via the d-link systemj, which is another story - i found the system difficult to connect easily, and it took far too much effort and time). there are 2 packs that are compatible - the "solo" and the "daylite" - they are both very basic and lightweight packs - but they do have the compatible "d-link" hooks, and WILL attach, regardless of difficutly, to the sojourn model. good luck. i avoided the sojourn for this reason. the meridian does have an excellent day pack that is easy and fully integrated.

one final note. both meridians and sojourns internal volume is compromised (eaten-up) by the convex design of the handle system and the integrated backpack straps, leaving less usable volume than most other packs. if you feel you REALLY need the backpack system as well as wheels, it is a great option. if you can get by without the backpack - look elsewhere, it really does use up a lot of internal space where extra clothes could benefit. cheers
