Can these be used for cycling/commuting? It would be nice if these could tighten around the ankle

Likeable!

I/O Bio Merino Signature Capri Pant - Women's

I/O Bio Merino Signature Capri Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 9, 2011

Wool is the underdog of outdoor apparel. So I'm promoting these. Purchased these and an Icebreaker Swift mid calf pant. These were cheaper with a longer more flattering length. Pocket a wee bit small in front hip. Wool is not too heavy. Product has a nice weave and soft feel. Like budda! Buy em!

Wool and only wool!

Teko SIN3RGI Light Crew Vienna Sock - Women's

Teko SIN3RGI Light Crew Vienna Sock - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 9, 2011

Thus far this sock has held up its end of the bargain. Often the ingredients are not accurate as to being 100% wool. These socks are listed inaccurate as they do contain nylon for those who are purists! Some pilling even prior to inaugural wash! Hmmm.....Still I'm a big fan of wool for anything, less stink and moisture.

Great winter jacket

MPG Trek Fleece Jacket - Women's

MPG Trek Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 12, 2010

I really like the fit and details of this jacket. Yes it does block most wind however if its beyond windy and cold layer a bit more. The details I like include the zipper pockets which prevents my fingers from getting caught while running. I also appreciate the back being longer for riding and running preventing a cold tush. The fit is slim as is stated which prevents wind from getting in and warmth from escaping. Even the zipper when zipped up completely fits nicely into this pocket so it doesn't flop around. Washes well too.

Great flattering lounge pant

EMU Sheoak Track Pant - Women's

EMU Sheoak Track Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 7, 2010

This is the alternative to sweat pants! Still comfortable but still socially acceptable. They roll nicely and do not come unrolled with lounging. However if I were to run or perform some moderate physical activity they would get in the way. I also like the terry loop on the inside. Very cozy. I unroll the top to keep extra warmth on the midsection. Buy em! A stiff price but seems worth it...I'll let you know after I wash.

MPG Trek Fleece Jacket - Women's

November 19, 2010

I have a question about size. The plan is to use the jacket for winter running and biking. I seem to be in between small and medium. This small is very fitted yet I like the look better. The medium seems a bit too roomy yet practical. Any suggestions???

Great fit and quality

Icebreaker Lily Pant - Women's

Icebreaker Lily Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 12, 2010

These are perfect pants for fall and hopefully winter. A flattering fit. Back pocket helpful for phone or other necessities. Comfortable to wear all day. The smalls are too long for me as I am 5'4", but I rolled them up and they're fine. Perhaps they'll shrink. I agree with the previous reviewer, in that they are a refined knit. There is a rather wide waist band but somehow it works! I feel like a million bucks, hopefully I look it and they will makes me run farther and faster!

Essential to hike

Platypus Hoser Hydration Bladder

Platypus Hoser Hydration Bladder

Rating for this product: 4 April 4, 2010

Its convenient to place in the backpack. It has a plastic taste. My water dripped often no matter where it was placed. It also leaked out when I had my pack off, leaving me with little water left.

Icebreaker Nature Lite Legging - Women's

Icebreaker Nature Lite Legging - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 5, 2009

I like that they sit on my hips rather than up around my waist. Also the waistband is not binding or tight. The leggings are lightweight, which will be good for layering. Great mild and versatile color.

Nice winter weight

SmartWool NTS Midweight Bottom - Women's

SmartWool NTS Midweight Bottom - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2009

How could you not love the stripes. A nice weight, not too tight. I plan on running in winter here in the tundra of Wisconsin or perhaps under a skirt. Fit more like tights than leggings or does not bag around the knee.

Osprey Packs Xenon 70 Backpack - Women's - 3906-4272cu in

What is the size needed for a week hike? Not sure what size pack to get. Is there an average size or should I say minimum and maximum size for an average female?
