Not waterproof

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 7, 2009

Used these for a Grand Canyon trip, and noticed during water refills that these pants are not waterproof at all, contrary to what was indicated in the promotional material included with the pants.

Otherwise they worked really, really well - They fit, wick sweat fast, there was no chafing or whatever and they held up against all rocks and underbrush. As long as you do not directly sit on a cactus (I brushed some), they will protect your legs. And they did not smell even after 7 days in the backcountry - well, at least not too bad.
