Fantastic Footwear

The North Face Fire Road Trail Running Shoe - Men's

The North Face Fire Road Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 14, 2009

I run along a beach trail that devolves into a collection of igneous rocks herded into place by Amtrak. My previous shoes left me vulnerable to the whims of railway stones; these shoes offer a sense of protection. They are as comfortable as any shoes I have worn, and they fit true to size.

Platypus Insulator Hydration System

Platypus Insulator Hydration System

Rating for this product: 5 May 14, 2009

I love this bag. The big mouth zip opening makes filling, emptying, and cleaning the bag a snap. I enjoy the way the tube detaches from the bag, allowing an ease of use with all of my packs that support hydration bladders.

Outdoor Research Peruvian Hat

April 28, 2009

Hello all: I am curious about the sizing on this hat. If anyone who has purchased and/or tried this hat on could aid me in this area, I would be grateful. I am 6'1" and 200 lbs. My head is perhaps a bit large for my body, but not by much I certainly am not Charlie Browning it. Thanks.

Nice Pair

The North Face Paramount Utility Pant - Men's

The North Face Paramount Utility Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 10, 2009

Pardon the pun, but these are nice pants. They fit well, although somewhat baggier than I imagined, looking at the photo prior to ordering. Also, I had read some reviews that stated that the pants ran short, so I ordered them in the long. I am 6 foot 1, and wish that I had ordered them in the regular. I like the side pocket that is useful, but not overtly conspicuous. I recommend.

Great Fit

The North Face Sentry Mclean Hooded Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Sentry Mclean Hooded Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 10, 2009

I love this fleece. The fit is perfect. It is slender, without looking emo-tight. It hugs without constricting; it kisses without the preponderance of tongue. I wear it out on my weekend trips into my local backcountry, and it keeps me warm, and wicks like a candle. The thumb loops are actually more useful than I thought they would be; they keep my hands noticeably warmer than otherwise. The hood actually makes me feel a bit like a ninja.
