Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2010

As a girl who is known for always being cold, I can tell you that this jacket can keep anybody warm. I recently purchased this jacket for myself to keep warm during Canada's long cold winters, and let me tell you; I fell in love. When you think of a down jacket one might worry that it would make you look puffy. Yet I found that all this jacket does is make you look smart. It fits true to size and has nice oversized pockets with zippers. It also has a nice big hood for those extra hold days. This is the perfect jacket for those girls who just can't seem to kick their chill. This little goose will warm you up and block out wind and snow in no time.

A True Outdoor Adventure Seeker

Outdoor Research Cornice Mitten

Outdoor Research Cornice Mitten

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2010

These mitts might not be for everyone, however for a true lover of cold, wet, snowy, icey weather; they are perfect. These mitts have fully taped seams, yet are very breathable. They come with a very warm insulated liner, however they are perfect for putting in your own liner. What I love about these mitts is that they are sort all your fingers they way a mitt should "no seperate finger slots." So they are warm and fully waterproof. They are great for anything from a long day of hiking in the backcountry to just building a snowman outside of the lodge. However been warned these mitts fit small, so I would suggest you go a size up from the norm for you. Oh, and ladies if you are thinking about getting these gloves go for a small and keep in mind that they will not fit tight around your wrist even if you tighten them.

The perfect layer.

Helly Hansen Frost Hooded Top - Long-Sleve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 8, 2009

Helly Hansen has done it again with their frost hoodie. This hoodie is a must have layer for any female outdoor adventurer. It's merino wool blend is blissful. It's warm and wicks away sweat like a charm. It's ultra thin which makes it perfect under a thicker layer or shell. The fit is slim fitting which makes it look as great as it feels. I was also very impressed with the way it washes. I accidently washed in in hot water and threw it into the dryer, and it came out perfectly. This layer is always the first one I grab when I am heading out of town. From snowboarding, camping, hiking, to a night out in your favorite ski town this hoodie is perfect!

Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2009

Forget wasting your time searching for the perfect outdoor sleeping pad, because this is it. The Exped Downmat is down filled so your body heat is held under you keeping you warm. Unlike other sleeping pads that are filled with nothing but air, that air gets cold outside and is like sleeping on an ice cube. The Exped Downmat is small and easy to carry, and you use the case it comes in as the pump to fill it. If you are trying to travel light, this is the best choice for you. So save your bulky air mattress for the beach and pick yourself up an Exped Downmat...it's well worth the money, trust me.

Outstanding

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Goggle

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2009

I got these goggles for christmas and they are the greatest googles hands down that I have ever come across! I do a lot of backcountry hiking/riding and they never fog up no matter what the weather conditions are. I keep the fan on low almost all the time and my vision is perfect. Simply click in into high when you are sweating or conditions are bad and these puppies will not let you down. Also I do a lot of riding and I have been on the same set of batteries all season. The Phenom is perfect for woman or smaller faces. The prodigy is best of guys or people with larger faces. Also if you wear glasses you can get an amazing glasses clip for them and you can order perscription inserts for them. Give these googles a try and you won't be sorry.

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2009

This bag is perfect for riding backcountry. It has a pocket for everything you could ever need straped to your back. Stellar goggle pocket, and easily holds 3L of water for hydration. Comfortable waist strap sits on your hips taking all of the weight off your shoulders. Nice padding in the back and straps. Great for girls who hike and need to carry lots of gear with them!
Highly recommened.

Never Summer Infinity Rocker/Camber Snowboard - Women's

March 2, 2009

I would suggest a 150cm-153cm no bigger, it is based mostly on weight. At your size a 156cm may be too big for you.

Best boots, no contest.

Northwave Snow Opal SL Snowboard Boot - Women's

Northwave Snow Opal SL Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2009

I bought these boots at the beginning of this season. I have been riding for most of my life and these boots far exceeded my wildest expectations. They are stiff enough to hike the backcountry all day, yet comfortable enough for rippin groomers all day long. When I am hanging out in the lodge I forget to loosen them because they are like wearing slippers. If you want to take these amazing boots to the next level I suggest putting a heat moldable foot bed such as "Sole" in them with arch supports. If you are thinking about buying these boots do yourself a favor and stop waiting! Buy these puppies and your feet will thank you.
