I used these skis today on the crust and dust. They cut great. I used them touring. No problems floating, turned well. All with some stout nnn bindings. Great ski. wouldn't trade them for nothing.

Rossignol Evo Glade AR Ski

I can answer 1 and 2. They're great beginner skis (1), and the nnn bindings will do nicely (2). I can't speak to Backcountry.com's shipping policy.

I don't know that its fair for me to judge these ski's, since I wasn't the one using them. However, I watched my wife use them all day and got alot of input from her so what the hey, I'll give you our collective opinion.
Today was my wifes first time ever on skis. The Rossi Evo's worked great for her. We spent the whole day on an ungroomed, but well used trail in pretty slick snow conditions. They seemed to be pretty sure footed on the up (especially for a beginner), and helped to keep her speed down on the descent. I would have liked to see a little better glide out of them than I did ( I would coast on by on the down and have to stop and wait, or stay in a constant snow plow while she worked herself down).
All in all I would say that they were a very stable and controllable ski for the beginner. There were no problems in the turns and she only ate the trail twice on a first ever 12K runabout.

Today was my first time on the Sierras. I had great success with them on the trail and in the sticks where the snow wasn't so wind blown. A little bit of trouble on the blown over, iced up, crusted snow pack, oh yah, with a couple feet of sugar underneath. To be expected I guess. Overall great ski.

Rossignol BC X3 Backcountry Boot

Rossignol BC X3 Backcountry Boot

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2009

I tried the Rossi's with my Sierras today and was moderately impressed. I found them to be a comfortable and versatile boot. I would have liked to have seen a little more suport in the ankles. But in their defense I was doing quite a bit of off trail backcountry rough work. My biggest complaint is my zipper on one of my boots kept coming apart. However, they still kept my feet toasty, comfortable and dry, with very little ankle fatigue.

Good boot.
