I never thought I'd find hiking pants long enough for me. The longs are about a 34 1/2" inseam, and they're fabulous! I usually wear a 2 long (Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Gap, etc), but the 4 long fits best in these. They're slightly loose, but I think that'll be more comfortable for hiking. Also, don't expect a low rise waist. These come up higher than trendy pants and have a more classic fit (curve slightly to the waist and hips - not really a straight fit on me anyway), but they look great and are very comfortable. The shorts have a very flattering length as well.

Not long enough at all!!!

Mountain Hardwear Shasta Pant - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Shasta Pant - Women's

Unfortunately, I'm sending these back ASAP. Despite the tech specs on this site, the length cannot possibly be 34". I didn't measure them (already back in the package), but I look like I'm prepping for a flood. The sarsaparilla color is a little more flattering than I expected, however. I usually wear a 2 long in pants and ordered these in a 4. They were VERY fitted and would not have been comfortable for hiking, so I definitely think they run almost two sizes too small. If you want long hiking pants, try The North Face Paramount Porter long pants. They're a much better fit!
