okay, but not great

Columbia Ashtanga Skort - Women's

Columbia Ashtanga Skort - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 March 18, 2009

This skort is great idea. I love the longer length that should make this skort perfect for running errands as well as running. ...But...it's a really unflattering fit. I bought two different colors at a really discounted price and even so could not justify keeping them. I wish Columbia had done a better job fit-testing these skorts because in theory they are fab. Knits are usually very forgiving of fit issues, but there is just too much fabric gathered into the waistband, which creates some odd gathers and puckers in the waist/high hip area.

great skinny jean

Of the Earth Twiggy Denim Pant - Women's

Of the Earth Twiggy Denim Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 18, 2009

Okay, so I'm a little late to the skinny jean trend, but only because I never could find a pair I liked. These jeans took care of that. They do have some pretty typical waist fitting issues (e.g. fits in the hips, but too big in the waist), however, a belt takes care of that. The fit through the hip and thigh area is great, though (most skinny jeans tend to be way too tight over my quads, but these are actually very flattering). I also LOVE the back pocket detail. I would recommend ordering a size down from your usual (or even two sizes down if you like a snug fit). I usually wear a 28, sometimes a 29, and in these particular jeans the 27 was the best fit for me.

Love them

Salomon Uma Softshell Winter Boot - Women's

Salomon Uma Softshell Winter Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 27, 2009

I've been wearing these boots constantly since I got them. They are super comfortable and cute. They fit close to the leg, so they fit fine under jeans, but I love to wear them with skirts and tights, too. In addition, I have worn them in both rain and light snow and stayed warm and dry. These boots fit on the small side of true to size, and because they fit so close to the body, I would recommend getting a half to a full size larger if you want to wear them with cushy socks.
