Burton P1.1 Snowboard Binding

Burton P1.1 Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2009

these are the sex on fire bindings. i love em. have only ridden twice on them, so dont know how durable they are. i love how they flex in the right way, and are stiff in the right way. they are responsive. they have good adjustment all around. and the baseplate keeps you up off the board to eliminate heel / toe drag. they are also much lighter than my previous binding. all in all, good job burton, and props to backcountry on their great pricing and customer service!!

Burton Bullet Snowboard - Wide

March 1, 2009

its a little bit stiff for tricks that need a flexy board. like buttering and jibbing. i will say that the bullet flies well however.

Burton Bullet Snowboard - Wide

March 1, 2009

since this is a wide board model, and you only have a size 8 shoe, i would say that you dont need the bullet. try the clash instead. this is also a stiff board that you may have difficulty bending, depending on your weight and strength.

Burton Bullet Snowboard - Wide

March 1, 2009

if you use a good low profile boot like te solomon f-22, i would say that this is a decent board for you, if you stay out of the terrain park. at least dont try to do rails or jibs. as for the size you need, i would say that a 160-162 would be a good all around size. big enough for pow and stability, small enough to still do spins if you desire.oh, to ansewr your' other question. free ride is going fast over the natural terrain of the mountain and dropping features like cliffs, rock, and chutes. free style is doin tricks like 360's and jibs and what not, usually in a terrain park. all mountain is like a combination of freestyle and free ride. hope this helped, enjoy your shred!

Flow NXT FRX Snowboard Binding

Flow NXT FRX Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 3 February 23, 2009

there where some things that i loved about these bindings, and some things that i hated. i am returning these to backcountry by the way. props for the awesome customer service.

PROS:
-easy and fast to put on once adjusted.
-stiff and powerful feeling in the steeps.
-base plate resists snow build up due to slick plastic material.
-nice strong base plate with plenty of bomber adjustment.
CONS:
- mini ratchets would pop open during riding. this is no good!
- cheap plastic parts on the upper binding, ie, all the rachets were chrome plastic. the chrome started to come off the first day.
- $$ expensive $$ quality did not match the price.
- snow pack sometimes prevents boot from fitting into binding.
- never really felt dialed in. the adjustment for tightness was just not precise enough. either too tight, or too loose.

For the money, better materials are in order. i mean aluminum, carbon fiber. not plastic ratchets.
thanks backcountry!
