Arc'teryx Phase SV Bottom - Men's

December 1, 2011

I think you might be better served with patagonia's cap or smartwool. These are made of polypropylene partly which tends to get very stinky with a little sweating.

Whatever top you pick, don't get too many tops with a neck to them. Typically, you get a base layer, fleece (100 or 150 weight with your choice of windsheer, etc.) and a shell.

Salewa Mountain Trainer GTX Mid Boot - Men's

December 1, 2011

A little smaller / more technical toe box. Two different boots - this is a much lighter boot that can out climb the Fugitive, hike further if you don't require mass support, but is not quite as warm or at home supporting VERY heavy loads.

You will be ok. It is a jacket - thus cut a little shorter than a parka.

The North Face Ferney Full-Zip Hoody - Men's

December 1, 2011

For non demanding conditions like taking the chill off inside, sure. For any condition that requires moisture management - NO. It is made partly of cotton and cotton kills! Cotton does not insulate when wet and takes forever to dry. It also does not retain heat like other fabrics specifically designed for this purpose.

If your looking for a step above a sweatshirt and want something that looks cool - you found yourself a winner.

Stoic Bombshell Insulated Jacket - Men's

December 1, 2011

Sometime browsers don't support the color "code" associated with the pics uploaded. Stoic is a good brand - if it leaks you can reseal them (seams always provide for an opportunity for leaks) and if it gets on your nerves, send it back to BC. I would say give it a run though - generally,Stoic does not disappoint.
