It is waterproof and breathable for walking around but for hiking ... especially uphills, I find moisture inside the jacket - I was told that it was not from the rain coming through but my body heat tramped inside it and formed a layer of "condensation".---------If you wear a breathable fabric as your base layer, you should be OK, but if the jacket is in contact with your skin, you might find that it's not so breathable.

I don't know, how big are you?---------------------I would say you should order the size that will fit you. Check the sizing chart.---------------------I fit a SM but ordered a MED because I have long arms and the sleeve length was too short in the SM. The MED is great for layering.

A year ago I worked at a store that sold the Venture Jacket. I worked there for 4 years and it that time the style never changed, only colours. I don't *think* they've changed it within the last year.

Normally I wear a Sm-Med in gym tees. I read the review that the Med fits snug so I'm wondering what size to get. I have a 32 band size. Is this a short top?
