Good shell/jacket

Helly Hansen Zeta 2L HT Jacket - Men's

Helly Hansen Zeta 2L HT Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 21, 2009

I wore the Zeta all season this year at Vail with a baselayer and one or two fleeces underneath. The jacket looks great, and is totally sno-proof. I got stuck in multiple tree wells, and on some days, I was skiing in 3 feet of powder (yeah spring at Vail!) and with the powder skirt, kept completely dry underneath. The zips are nice, and the hood is adjustable. Unhooked, it fits over a helmet even.

In short, I was very happy with it. It's a little heavier than your average shell (it's not ultra lightweight like the ones from cloudveil and arc'teryx), but as a result, it's a little warmer too. i'd say, it's great for days 20 degrees and above. any colder, and i'd go with a parker

it's also quite nice, i often wear it around town as well
