So has anyone compared a NF redpoint optimus side by side with this? How much better is this really? They both use 100g of synthetic insulation, both have hoods (NF is adjustable), both have softshell material at cuffs, both have hem cinch. Main difference I see is the face fabric is different with the Arc being more durable. NF retail is $198 and Arc is $249. Trying to get best for money despite brand name. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out how many grams of Primaloft One this is using, don't want to assume it's the same as last years.

Anyone else have concerns about how the flex of this boot is when walking? The bend it makes leaves creases and doesn't seem natural, it concerns me that this will cause cracking in the future. Thoughts or long term experience with this boot? Thanks.

I have the Salewa mountain trainer shoe in a size 10 and they fit fine, should I still order a larger size in these as others have said? I am having discomfort with the trainer shoe rubbing my ankle bones, maybe because I have skinny ankles? I normally don't like shoes that go below my ankle and I hoped these MT would be different.

What's the difference in these and the MT10's? I had some of those and they were snug across top of foot above toes, as other reviewers had stated. These look a little different. Wondering what the differences are, thanks. Merrell reps?

for anyone who has purchased this lately, does this have the Pertex Syncro or the Quantum? Both are in the description and specs. Also if it is the Quantum, is it still shiny? I have the NF Animagi that has the Quantum and is very nice material and not very shiny. Thanks.

I just purchased an IB 200 hopper shirt and tried it out today. It was around 85 and med humidity and it was pretty warm. I thought it was going to be cooler. I bought it because of great reviews and backpacker gear award. Would this shirt be cooler in hot weather and is the hopper more durable than this one? Thanks.

For those of you who own this bag, have you compared it with a similar down one side by side? I have the Marmot Never Winter 30* down bag but I like the double side zip on this so you can fold the whole top over. This one is quite a bit heavier than mine so I was wondering how much "loftier" would this be, as in fluffy? Would it be quite a bit bigger in compression size also?

For those of you who own this, does this have dual zippers so you can fold top over when warm? I don't like the one side zipper. Thanks.

can anyone compare these with NF slot gtx boots? Looks like these have 50 grams more of insul, NF using Primaloft 400g. My toes get cold with these. I'm surprised about how many people like a Keen winter boot. I don't have anywhere here to try on and look at. Thanks.

I have this jacket and am happy with it. As others have said this is a quality jacket and quite nice. It has a quality look to it and the feel is nice. I was wondering if everyone's arms are as loose as mine, or did I get a flawed one? The fit is good everywhere else but the arms seem real big, more like a loose sweatshirt than a jacket. I bought a small and it is still roomy enough.

Is this fit standard or a little more relaxed? I am wearing a med in most TNF but I would want this more trim since I wouldn't be layering except maybe thin shirt. Would a sm work out better? I am 5'10" 145lbs around 36" chest. Thanks.

I read the below Q&A on sizes. Some of NF I wear a Med, I am 5'10" 145lbs. The guys below say they are wearing a Med and are a little bigger. Would the small be too constrictive on this? Should I get a Med to be safe for a few years of use and able to put some layers underneath if needed? If warm enough on own though, I don't like loose jackets. Thanks for any help. Also anyone have the bittersweet brown? Do you like it? Is it pretty dark brown? My monitor shows it a little lighter than the black.
