These boots are a dying breed: beautifully made, all-leather boots that will last for decades and only need a little mink oil now and then. I've had mine since 1998 and have hiked all over the White Mountains, the Rockies, the Scottish highlands, and the Himalayan foothills in them. They still look practically new when I polish them up. HOWEVER, they do run narrow. As I've gotten older, they've gotten tight around my little toe. I thought maybe i needed to move up a size, so I went to EMS today and tried on a new pair. Same problem. I'll be taking mine to be stretched to solve the problem, but If you have even moderately wide feet, try them on before you buy them.
