Columbia Roc Pant - Men's

Columbia Roc Pant - Men's

I have had 3 pair, one pair was a little longer than the other two, but not a problem for me. Great material. I am very happy with the pants but I have to admit the low-low sales price was a big motivator.

Double-knits from the '70's

prAna Stretch Zion Pant - Men's

prAna Stretch Zion Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 May 21, 2009

These are not the pants I remember seeing last season but maybe my mind is slipping. Where is the "double-layering" on the knees and butt? It's not there on the ones I received. There are seams where a second layer might occur but there is only a single layer. The thin material and baggy bottom legs reminds me of "Stayin' Alive." I tried on pants locally to get the right size but the XL that arrived was much longer and baggier. I had to hem them 3.5" and I am 6'2". Rear pocket is not secure, front hand pockets aren't either--everything falls out of them when I sit. The pants need belt loops because the cynch buckle is badly designed and bound to fail. I am puzzled what these pants are intended for. Bouldering/rock climbing? Not likely. Backpacking? Maybe. Hot weather travel? Also maybe, but prAna has far more functional and better looking pants for that. I should have returned them but didn't. Sorry prAna. I already have better pants for a far lower price.
