Lib Technologies T.Rice Pro Model C2 BTX Points Snowboard
January 19, 2012
Generally no, but depends in how you ride. I'm 6-2, 210 lbs and ride boards 157 - 167. I have the 164.5 T Rice and it's perfect and the specs actually match my TRS 167 while shaving off a few cm in length and weight. I consider the 164.5 perfect with a centered stance and is great for all mountain, big jumps and the pow. Buttering and flat tricks are super easy given the flex patter on the board too. Can't comment on rails. If you are an experienced rider, you can adapt to length pretty quickly. The length will give you the necessary stability you need for mixed conditions, icy/harpack surfaces and plowing through crud and spring slush, and give you the running length for speed, if that's your thing.

Lib Technologies TRS BTX Snowboard

TNT base is awesome. I have the 08 TRS and it truly needs less maintenance (waxing) than a sintered base. Very fast and durable- hardly a scratch on the base from a full season of riding. If you keep it waxed normally, you won't have a problem. My friends have the skate banana and the TRice. Both those boards have sintered bases. We all waxed with the same brand (Bluebird). Both got slower throughout the day due to wax shedding off more quickly. The TRS kept its speed over multiple days (a full 6 in a row!) with no need for waxing. They almost had to do a full wax every 2 days. The Lib sintered bases appear to need a more thorough waxing. You can't go wrong with the TNT if you don't like to wax a lot.

Lib Technologies MC Kink BTX Snowboard
September 21, 2009
I've got the MC kink 157 and 08 TRS 167 BTX and my wife has the T Rice 157 Btx (08). I can tell you the MC Kink is by far the most fun board I have ever been on. Soft, smooth and fast. I was a little nervous going way down in size from my usual 167 cm, but I couldn't get over how stable the MC was when I needed it and how forgiving and flexy it was for playing. It rides switch very well too. The T Rice is stiffer (like the TRS) and does not have as much rocker to it compared to the MC Kink. I can't imagine how you could go wrong with a kinky banana.

Lib Technologies TRS BTX Snowboard
August 23, 2008
anyone out there know how the 167 cm btx handles everyday riding (groomers, free ride etc.)? I'm 6'2", 200 lbs and have been riding a long time... backcountry to resorts. I'm used to riding 163-168.5 cm boards and love hauling on the longer lengths. Needed longer lib tech due to larger waist width (something over 25.9 cm width). Plus with my weight and height, andything under a 163 is squirrely IMO. No sure how the 167 TRS bananna will ride though. Any reviews? Thanks!
