  • Stomping Grounds:

    Jalama, CA
  • Bio:

I live out of a redwood strip kayak. I paddle from Big Sur to Jalama, foraging along the way. I have not come ashore for more than a rest for 2 years. I used to be a software engineer, but my job went "offshore"; in protest, I did, too. I eat limpets, pretty much any fish I can catch, and the occasional abalone. Also, lots of kelp--it's all edible you know. I stop by the Jalama store for a burger and some lemonade whenever I get enough fish together to sell some to campers. I have a sea otter hat, but don't be angry with me because I was so cold and it was dead anyway. Is this a dating site? I hope so. I am not really homeless. I also have a sweet Ford Ranchero with a camper top. It's blue, except for the passenger door, which had to be replaced. It's grey, with a cool pin strip. It's got a comfy bench seat for cruisin' or just gazing at the sunset. I get so lonely sometimes. I find myself talking to the whales and orcas. You know the baird's whale is really upset that folks don't watch it, ugly though it may be. Why can't a beaked whale be cute? They just want to be loved, like me.

I will make a kayak for you if you come and visit me.
