Great helmet, sizing very off and more padding needed

POC Synapsis 2.0 Helmet

POC Synapsis 2.0 Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2011

After playing with the padding or should I say limited padding that comes with the helmet and then adding two additional strips from of extra pads from my bike helmet stock this helmet now fits perfect. visor is great for keeping sun and snow off face and deflecting branches. helmet strap is great. was afraid i could not flip zeal goggles up, but i just pull them onto end of visor and they stay on better than if there was no visor at all. Super light and circle adjustment in the back is very useful. ventilation not great, but since it is a true fit helmet, again with limited padding it's not a huge issue. I am M/L in most helmets, briko, smith, etc..., but an XL in POC. Overall, the quality seems a cut above the competition and it looks awesome, which is not the priority, but always a plus.

Zeal Link PPX Goggle - Polarized Photochromic

December 20, 2010

I have a normal size head, nose face and all but the Link are huge, espcially if you dont want your helmet tilted back on your head. My only concer with the Links are that they don't give you as much peripheral as the others....

Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 16, 2010

Great jacket for what it is. As other reviewer wrote, not bomb proof, but for price I did not expect it to be. I had the DAS parka, but it was too warm for anything, but walking the dog, so opted for the Rubicon Rider which has more versatility. Still great for walks, but end up skiing in it on cold/dry days. Great for powder as it clips into my patagonia pants so never rides up. A bit heavy, no pit zips which would help on any jacket, but other than that it was a welcome addition to my arsenal of gear. On storm days I ski with a core skin patagonia and lightest simplest bullet proof shell arcteryx makes.

Salomon Twenty Twelve Ski

December 13, 2010

Hoping this is the replacement to the Salmon Foil, which is probably one of the most fun and versatile ski I have been on, minus some high speed chatter.... Has anyone skied it yet to compare?

Das is great

Patagonia DAS Parka - Men's

Patagonia DAS Parka - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2009

I bought the Das for New England mornings and nights and wanted something I could be out in no matter what the weather, because the black lab goes out.... no matter what the weather. I can throw it on over a t-shirt and the upper body feels like you never left the house. Only bad thing is you notice how cold everything else is cause your upper body is so damn warm. The hood is huge and can get in the way, but serves its purpose as very warm. As far as sizing, I would have worn a small at 5'11" 165 lbs, but the sleeves were too short, so I have a medium and that is what I wear normally in patagonia. I will also use this for frigid skiing and snowhoeing
