The brown color didn't look as nice as the Furallure jacket which used a satin fabric.

Very big bag

The North Face Off Site Bag - 1850 cu in

The North Face Off Site Bag - 1850 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 April 30, 2007

This bag is bigger than it appears. It's too big and bulky to put over my 20" wheeled carry-on. My Inspiron 710m fits easily into a minor pocket. So I gave it to my brother, a law student. It holds several law books and Vaio notebook (17" screen). He carries the bag everywhere.

Bigger than Imagined

The North Face Off Site Messenger Bag

The North Face Off Site Messenger Bag

Rating for this product: 4 September 25, 2006

This extremely good-looking bag is huge. Its volume equals my North Face Recon but it looks much bigger. It's too bulky to put over my 20" wheeled carry-on for flights. My Inspiron 710m slides easily into a minor pocket. So I gave it to my brother, who LOVES it. He's a law student. This bag carries his thick text books, school supplies and his Sony Vaio laptop (17" screen). Previously, he had to separate them into two different bags: Sony notebook bag and the North Face Firewall (1850 cu) for books. Now, they’re all in one bag.

Love The North Face

The North Face Seven Summits Recon Backpack - 1850 cu in

The North Face Seven Summits Recon Backpack - 1850 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 1, 2006

This backpack is very much like the regular Recon but more colorful. There is a space for the laptop like the other Recon. My Inspiron 710m fits easily into my Tumi laptop sleeve which fits easily into what I perceive is the laptop pocket inside the main compartment. Love it.

Love it!

The North Face Recon Backpack - 1850 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 24, 2006

I love this backpack so much that I've purchased it three times (for myself, a friend and a cousin). My Inspiron 710m fits in the computer pocket with room to spare even in its gym pac cover. A friend's IBM x41 fits perfectly under the same conditions. Love the water holders (once you have them you can't go back). Love the design. However, I don't think it's a big guy's backpack. It appears small and petite on my brother's back. He's is 5'11'' and 220 lbs. The North Face Firewall meets his needs and size better.
