Great side edge tuner

Burton Fileguide Kit

Burton Fileguide Kit

Rating for this product: 5 March 5, 2009

This file guide is heavy so that it is easy to keep it level. It slides evenly along the base. It is easy to grip. It's a great tool. Yeah, it's a little hard to figure out how to put the file in at first, but once you figure it out you'll be very happy.

Do not bother buying those cheap plastic edge tuners. It is physically impossible to keep them level along your entire edge, meaning that you will wind up with a bevel that varies along the legnth of your board.

This tool cannot be used to tune your base edge. The reviewer who said it could is wrong. He also said the kit includes a gummy stone, but that ain't true.

Don't take off the band

Highgear Aerial Altimeter Watch

Highgear Aerial Altimeter Watch

Rating for this product: 2 February 4, 2009

Cool watch, but one side of the band came off with only a little accidental pressure. The pins go into relatively soft plastic. They are so deep that when I tried to reattach the band to the case, I couldn't (even with the right watch tool). I tried for two hours, and then I threw it against the wall and screamed. Then, I epoxied the band to the case. Then, it fell off the first time I hit a jump. I lost the watch, but I landed the jump with style.

Back pad is uncomfortable

Six Six One N8-3 Pressure Suit

Six Six One N8-3 Pressure Suit

Rating for this product: 2 February 4, 2009

I returned this because the spine pad was uncomfortable. It's too wide and too long. Go with the Demon vest instead.
