Love them!!! - One comment on sizing

Patagonia Ultra Lightweight Endurance Anklet Sock

Patagonia Ultra Lightweight Endurance Anklet Sock

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2009

These socks are fantastic for running. Very very comfortable and they breath. I get very sweaty feet when i run and these wicked away the moisture and didn't feel damp like most of my other socks after a run. They are thin, which I prefer too, but strong in the important places. I bought 3 pairs, and plan to buy more! Only comment is the sizing. I wear a woman's size 9 and purchased a medium. I found that the heel didn't fit right and bunched slightly in the back. Not enough that it was bothersome, but it made me think i might have been able to get a small.

Okay - I don't think they are for running

Fox River Endurance Quarter Sock - Women's

Fox River Endurance Quarter Sock - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 October 9, 2009

I bought these because I was searching for running socks. They are very nice, but I found them to be more of a hiking/trail running sock. They were too thick for regular running (unless you prefer very thick socks). I wouldn't wear them running, however am keeping them for hiking.

Sizing

CW-X Pro Tight - Women's

CW-X Pro Tight - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 October 9, 2009

My cousin who is a bit larger than me purchased these tights and recommended I buy a small, which is what she purchased. I am a size 6 pants - 130 lbs, 5'3" - 5'4". I have no idea how she squeezed her self into them! She's a size 8 140lbs. I know they are compression tights, but I could barely get my foot through the ankle, and the waste band has no stretch (I struggled to get it over my bum!). I felt like I was squeezing a pair of jeans 2 sizes to small on. Before exchanging the small for a medium, I went into the store to try the medium on. They too were very very snug, but made me feel more comfortable. On both pair, I had to struggle to get the crotch all the way up. Perhaps my legs are longer than an average 5'4"er. Other than that, they do support the muscles well and even with a size up, I feel they were supportive in the right places as indicated. Also, being sweaty and running, there is no way I'd go to the bathroom because I don't think I could get them back on!

Great bag, perfect for travel!

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

Rating for this product: 5 January 26, 2009

This bag has excellent padding and held a ton. It has two huge pockets, perfect for boots and the rolling wheels make it easy for travel. I recently traveled with it and was able to fit all my boarding necessities along with the rest of what I needed for my vacation, saving me money having to check a second bag. I ride a 148 and got the 157 bag, it fit perfect with a little extra room. If you want more room for packing, I'd say to get a longer one. I would have if I realized it is a great double as a suitcase!

I love this helmet!

Smith Holt Skullcandy Audio Helmet

Smith Holt Skullcandy Audio Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 January 26, 2009

This helmet is awesome. The audio sounds great and it has a really easy plug/attachment for your ipod, making it easy to turn up, lower, or mute the volume with your gloves on. The size was pretty accurate, I need a beany to help it fit more snug, but when it warms up I can always just add the extra padding it comes with.

Runs small and lining defeats the purpose of a mitten

Burton Gore-Tex Mitten - Men's

Burton Gore-Tex Mitten - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 January 26, 2009

I am returning these. I didn't even make it to the mountain with them, but I ordered a mens small (and I wear a womans small) and they were too snug, with the lining. The lining is also a glove, defeating the purpose of the mitten - your fingers touching provide more warmth. I also thought they were very bulky. If you are looking for just a mitten (not use the lining) I would say they are good, but otherwise find something else.

Great all around board

Salomon Lark Snowboard - Women's

Salomon Lark Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 22, 2009

I really love this board. When purchasing I was torn between this one and the Burton Lux. I am really really happy I chose this one. For my size (5'3") it handles speed really well and catches the edge great on packed snow. I have yet to ride it on the east coast - where I do most my riding - but for Jackson, WY, it was absolutely perfect. Since it took the packed snow quite nicely, I think it is going to take icy patches pretty well.

The board also has the right amount of flex for an all mountain snowboard. I highly recommend this board, not only does it look good, but it rides smooth!

Warm, but my hands sweat

Burton Profile Under Mitten - Women's

Burton Profile Under Mitten - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 January 22, 2009

I really like the look of these gloves and how easy they are to slip on and off, but the lining doesn't wick the moisture and the inside of the gloves were always moist becuase my hands were sweating. Although I plan to keep these, I would recommend finding something that keeps you warm and dry. Also the "profile under mitten" didn't really make a huge difference. I liked that it cinched to my wrist and didn't let air in, but I still struggled as much as usual with getting it under my jacket sleeve.
