Yes! they will fit the odyseey. I have a 2000 odyseey that has the rack and needed the bars. I bought a roof top carrier and needed them. Check your local sears automotive where I bought mine and they installed them. I know they were cheaper there.

GSI Outdoor Pinnacle Dualist Cookset

Rating for this product: 5 July 1, 2009

I am a solo hiker, but bought this set as i am introducing my kids to hiking. Perfect setup for two which aleviates your partners additional set. To help with the questions below, you can fit an MSR Pocket rocket and a 3.53oz Jetboil canister (not included) along with a bic lighter in this setup. The rocket is out of its case and is protected in the set. I got one of the first sets which did not come with the sporks, so your getting a bonus with this kit. This set heats quickly, evenly and cleans real well. I love it!!!

Jetboil JetPower Fuel

February 11, 2009

There is no other option. They can only be sent by ground transportation which means North America UPS only. Fuel cannisters are listed as flammable gas and are restricted articles on commercial aircraft. No airline will accept for transport. You can try ups or fed ex. depending on the quantity they may ship them.

I do not find this jacket too bulky. It will definetly take 20 degs and lower. I have worn the shell alone and it breaks the wind (did I just say that?) Iam not familiar with the tritronix ll, but can vouche for the condor. Its a very nice jacket.

MSR Pocket Rocket Stove

January 31, 2009

The PocketRocket will accept any threaded, self-sealing Isobutane canister (IsoPro, GigaPower, PowerGas, JetPower, Bruntane,...).I have heard varying point on using other fuels, specifically the JetBoil fuel canisters. It will work but depending on who you talk to, some say it is not quite as effective, others say it works fine. All seem to agree they will screw on, but you may or may not see a slight ineffeciency using fuel canisters other than MSR. Definitely use another fuel if you are in a pinch, though. This stove will accept any Lindal valve (screw-on) fuel canister. The last canitser i used was a coleman propane bottle that you can find just about anywhere. jet boils work well also.

I second that emotion. While it shouldn't be a problem otherwise, if you're long-legged and short-waisted, the medium will work particularly well for you.I am 5' 11" 160lbs and I got the large. Its a little loose fitting but i can wear additional layers or a bulky sweater without looking like a marshmallow. If you have a thin frame and want a tighter fit go with a medium, but if you anticipate wearing something heavier underneath i would suggest a large.

Put it inside.Their are 4 loops at the bottom. With additinal straps you can attach a sleep pad to the bottom, or to the 2 side compression straps. The loops at the bottom are small in diameter so you will have to use thin straps or small bungees.

Columbia Aquatooth Shoe - Men's

January 27, 2009

Rinsing them will solve any problems you might encounter, but there's nothing in these shoes that would be adversely affected by salt water in the first place. Also you should consider washing them in a washing machine. I do not have these shoes, but I have had various experiences with similar shoes that leads me to believe this. Especially if you are using them also as casual shoes, salt water will make them smell terrible and therefore should be washed.I have had mine over a year and use them for fishing in both salt and fresh water. The only damage i have had has been to the removable insoles. They deform and get that funk smell. I also use them to cut my grass but rinse them after every use.

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

January 16, 2009

Two things come to mind. First, this pack comes in one size... being 5'4" and 125 myself, I would personally look elsewhere for a pack that comes in S M and L and get the small to ensure a better fit. Second, putting up to 40 pounds in this pack may make it uncomfortable. Keep in mind that this pack is only 2450 cu in so even getting up to 40 pounds of gear may be difficult. If you do plan on carrying that much gear, I'd probably suggest a larger pack as this pack is probably more suited for overnight trips.I am 5'11" and have a 34" waist. the waist belt is pretty stiff 0n this pack, but has straps on each side to tighten or loosen the fit on your waist. The sternum strap is also adjusable up or down, to keep the shoulder straps from digging into your arms. I have loaded this pack with 30-40 lbs of gear and its pretty stabile and comfortable on my frame. I think you should test fit this pack before buying. I dont think this pack will adjust to a 16" waist well.

Great second hiking shoe

Columbia Aquatooth Shoe - Men's

Columbia Aquatooth Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2009

I bought these to use as a camp shoe on my hikes. A little heavier than I wanted but they were excellent as spare hikers. waterproof. they drain well due to mesh sides and holes in the bottom, but what sold me were the treads on the bottom which gripped real well even on slippery rock! The only thing I dislike about them is the insoles(which are removable) curl up and slide backwards. would reccommend replacement with a Dr scholes insert for better comfort. I also use them as a fishing shoe both in salt and freshwater and have had no problems whatsoever with discoloration or wear. Highly reccommend for boating!!!

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

January 15, 2009

That pack is huge for your son, the North Face Terra 40 is a great bag, but it's got to fit. You should probably look into youth packs for your son.The straps adjust, the 40 does not have an adjustible suspension to raise or lower the pack on your back like the slightly larger tnf 60.

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

January 12, 2009

Unless you have minimalist gear or your friends are the "pack mules", the 40 doesn't have enough room for a 3-4 day hike, I'd say more like a day or two at most. I have used an REI Gemini 50L (which has a break-away pack) during the summer months on a 3 day trip with no problem but I worry about room for winter trips. My Osprey Atmos 65L barely had the room. I'd go for something bigger for a 3-4 day hike like the Gregory Palisade or another 70L+ pack, if you like this terra 40 you should check out the crestone 70, it would be better for that length of time. The TNF 60 has a little more volume than the 40 and also has an adjustable suspension that the 40 lacks.

$23.99 ?????????

Coleman Exponent 3AA MicroPacker LED Lantern

Coleman Exponent 3AA MicroPacker LED Lantern

Rating for this product: 3 January 12, 2009

I bought one of these at walmart in yellow for $9.99!!! The fact that Coleman now brands it "Exponent",colors it in gray and retails it for twice the price is criminal. When i bought it i setteled for it in exchange for a white fuel exponent model. Good choice!!! Its light weight and packable. It has a direction shield and makes a great tent light as it has a hanger. I replaced the Oem batteries with lithiums and a year later it still lights after two hikes. Its a great hiking lantern, but dont get rooked into paying twice the price for the Exponent name. Go get it at walmart. Just like Flyguy above says "get two" but for the price of one "Exponent clone' Besides, bright yellow is high visibility when your digging for it in your pack at night.

Leatherman Core Multi-Tool

Leatherman Core Multi-Tool

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

The one tool for just about any emergency. I own 4 Leathermans from the Squirt to the Charge. The Core is my main go to for any minor repairs. The blade is razor sharp, the pliers are always handy as are the drivers. The cores tools are just about normal tool size for better handling. But yes, it is heavy!!!. For hiking I switched to the Juice s2 which is about half its size and has a limited number of tools better suited for backpackers who want a good size multitool at half the weight. Theres a Leatherman suited for everyone. GET ONE!!!

The North Face Condor Triclimate Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

I am also an avid hiker who was looking for a winter system that was warm yet light enough to pack as well. I bought this jacket along with an all weather pant for my last trip to glacier NP. Temps in the mountains dropped to about 36 degs with rain and light snow. Of the 7 of us that made the trek, I was the only one warm and dry! This jacket was cofortable with a pack on, and when i didn't need the shell the zipout fleece was perfect. Its a good quality cozy jacket. water and wind proof and with the pit zips, very breathable. I just need to figure out how to keep my wife from stealing it!!!

The North Face Pandora Classic Backpack - Women's - 710cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

I bought this pack in black for my highschool aged daughter so she wouldn't have to carry a bulky purse around campus. After a few uses she discarded it saying " it wasnt big enough for my stuff" I wanted a small pack for work and "heck" I paid for it!!! so i took it back and now use it for work and play daily. Short of the pandora name on it, I love it! Its compact, yet holds alot of man stuff. I use it as my primary day pack on hikes and down here in Orlando FL, it holds all the family stuff at the theme parks. Its great for mountain biking, its low profile and with a full sternum and waist strap very snug. I dont recommend it for school aged kids for books and school supplies, "it is small" but its a perfect alternative purse or in my case day pack. And she aint gettin it back!!!

1 Awsome little pack

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 5, 2009

I havent even used this pack yet but was amazed at what i could fit in it. The last pack i used was an 85L Gelert explorer (which i still love) that i used on a 2 day hike at Glacier National Park. That pack total weight for that trip was 75LBS. I probably used a third of the crap i loaded in it and therefore decided to find a midsize pack to downsize and lighten the load for shorter excursions. I am not a minimalist and enjoy my comfort even on short trips. Before i took the tags off i decided to preload this pack. In the sleeping bag compartment alone, i currently have a kelty crestone 1 solo tent, a Karrimorr global traveller 700 sleep bag, a GSI dualist cook set with propane cannister and a msr pocket rocket stove. I also have a Katadyn hiker water filter and a small coleman 3 aa cell lantern. In the main compartment I have preloaded 2 full changes of clothes a waterproof shell, a 3L camelback resovoir( with 1.5L of water) and about 4 pounds of dead wgt to simulate food and miscl items and this pack is still asking for more!!! I havent weighed this load yet but when i slipped this pack on I could'nt believe how comfotable and balanced this pack was on my back!!! Excellent buy at a good price for a pack of this quality.
