Great Jacket - Spent my first day in this jacket (skiing front-side) and I'm throwing my Gore-Tex out permanently! I love the fit and performance of this jacket. It's amazingly light and breaths better than my Gore-Tex or Conduit jackets. On a sunny 35 degree day I never overheated no matter how hard we charged. I especially like the length of the torso and arms, great coverage. The fit is athletic with the shoulders just a bit snug on me but I've tried both my mid-weight fleece and Gnar 800 fill down jacket underneath and it’s not too restrictive. I’m 5’11” and weigh 225 and the XL is perfect for me. When the sun dropped behind the mountain today I was wishing for more than two light weight base layers on the lift. Definitely a cooler jacket than I'm used to and I’ll need to play with layering a bit to dial in the comfort zone but hey, that’s exactly what I expected from this jacket! I can’t wait to get some backcountry laps in to see how it dumps heavy perspiration… Chest pockets definitely take some getting used to as well. A Cliff Bar, phone and small camera took some adjusting to balance out the bulk and I found myself repeatedly reaching for non-existent zippers at my sides. I frequently wear a pack and sometimes a harness and I’m really looking forward to not having to unbuckle my waist belt to manipulate a zip and grab something out of a pocket. The hood adjusts easily and does fit over my Varient helmet but I haven’t tried it while skiing yet. The 70D fabric is a home run in my opinion: It’s not excessively noisy, supple enough I can feel and manipulate the volume buttons on my phone THROUGH the fabric but burly enough that I believe it’ll hold up to tree branches, pack straps and the occasional skis up rodeo ride in the firnspiegel. Bottom Line: Dry.Q Elite lives up to the hype in regards to breathability and ability to block wind – buy this stuff and get out of the hot house.

I've read the 113s fit a max 106mm uf ski! My Volkls are 107mm so I'd love to hear if anyone is bending these out to fit larger skis without issues...

I got one last year for winter SAR call-outs and love it. Hydration hose runs through the strap to prevent freezing, shovel pocket keeps probe, blade and handle away from my spine and other gear, it's large enough for skins, harness/self rescue, grub, bivy, first aid arsenal, repair kit and spare clothing. I also like the goggle pocket on top. Perfect 24 hour setup for me. Only gripes - I wish it had a dedicated helmet strap and the zipper pull cords are falling off but that's easy to repair. Oh, and it does a great job of packing my skis!
