Stylish and Warm but Too Long

Arc'teryx Tau Pullover - Men's

Arc'teryx Tau Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 3 days ago

I got the Titanium one and it definitely looks better than the pictures here. My wife even commented multiple times on how nice it looks. It is pretty warm for a pullover too. However this pullover it just too long to go with my current softshells as it peeks out about an inch or so below all of them... and these include BC's Shift Softshell, Arc'teryx Trident, Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hoody, and Mountain Hardware's Windstopper Tech. It does layer well under my hardshells though because they are longer.

Missing Pocket

Cloudveil Run Don't Walk Hooded 1/2 Zip Sweatshirt - Men's

Cloudveil Run Don't Walk Hooded 1/2 Zip Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 22, 2009

This is made from my favorite Polartec Powerstretch for running in cool weather. It is comparable to the Marmot Powerstretch Half-Zip except for the extra hood and thumb loops. It looks stylish too but I wish they would have included a pocket somewhere.

Perfect Fit

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2009

This pair of pants fit me perfectly. I am almost 5' 5" and it is usually hard to find inseams less than 30". It is lightweight, quiet and never snagged on my hikes so far. It has been comfortable for me wearing this down to the 30's (F). I like the dark brown but wish there were more colors available so I can get another.

Marmot Power Stretch Half-Zip Fleece Jacket - Men's

August 5, 2009

The small should fit you well. I am about the same height as you but weigh only 125lb and I have ample space to layer an Icebreaker 260 below it.

Long sleeves

Backcountry.com Cocona Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Cocona Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 15, 2009

This shirt wicks great for my morning runs but the sleeve runs longer than my others tech shirts. I wear an S and it feels like my sleeves are about 1.5" to 2" longer than usual. Also the shirt feels strange at first because it pretty much stays in place instead of tilting forward like other shirts do when I lean forward. I got used to it after wearing it a few times. The cocona is working well in stopping odor but I have only used it for two weeks so far.

Nice gloves

Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex XCR Glove

Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex XCR Glove

Rating for this product: 5 April 20, 2009

The gloves are well constructed and fits great. My hand's lengths is 6.75" and perimeter is 7.5". However I was afraid that it would be too tight because the perimeter for size 7 is listed at only 7". I tried both size 7 and 8, and 7 fits me just right. Hestra's gloves sizing guide is at http://www.hestrausa.com/sizing_guide.pdf.

Size down

Mountain Hardwear Matterhorn Convertible Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Matterhorn Convertible Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 13, 2009

I got this in the S size which should be close enough to fit my waist of 29. However it was way too lose and it felt like the pants was 31 or larger. I have the MH Canyon Pant and it fits me fine. I really like the features of this pant and would have kept it if the fit was right.

Great running jacket

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Men's

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 13, 2009

This is an excellent running jacket in temperatures between 30 to 45. I only need a thin baselayer to keep me warm. Most other jackets fits me a bit loose but this one is just right. I don't like the same gray color being used for the front chest pocket because it does not match any of the jacket colors except carbon. I would have bought another one if they offered better color selections.
