In my experience, the newer snowshoes don't provide enough

In my experience, the newer snowshoes don't provide enough flotation for backcountry use where I live. The only ones that have worked for me are the old stick and rawhide shoes with a huge surface area. Are there any modern products available that provide enough surface area to stay on top deep, dry powder snow in the north woods?
