Stomping Grounds:
Revelstoke B.C, -
Bio:
Somehow along the way, my path slowly turned into a skin track and now the mountains are a huge part of my life. Backcountry skiing is the way I get out and enjoy the remote mountains around my home in Revelstoke, B.C.
The endless exploration that can be found in the mountains, coupled with challenge, reward and unbelievable beauty will keep me out here for years.

Proper eye wear is key and on day 13 of a 21 day traverse I was not happy with my glasses. Don't wake up snow blind.

here I am waking up and not being able to open my eyes. Snowblindness is not fun at all, get a good pair of shades and avoid waking up like I did

Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot - Men's
September 18, 2009
The Titan is the stiffer boot, it is very stiff laterally, and I was blown away by how stiff they were when I was in the back seat. I could stand up off them and get back onto my skis. Great boot. It is their burliest boot yet.
I believe it is a bit higher than the Zeus.

Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot - Men's
September 18, 2009
They have made this boot to be compatible with all bindings. Check it out http://dynafit.eu/uk/15/672/61219-Titan_TF_X.html
The sole needs to be plastic to rotate out of conventional bindings, so the alpine sole is plastic,.

Black Diamond Raven Pro Ice Axe

I have used the 65 cms length for years and found it to be a little long yet its length feels real secure when you plunge it into the snow. Some people like smaller axes but when its deep and steep longer is better.

Voile SD Mojo Split Snowboard
June 30, 2009
dynafit. Honestly if you want to take your touring to another level, plastic boots and dynafit will take you there. Way easier for touring, sidehilling is easier, boot packing is easier, doning crampons is easier, everything is easier. I may ski hard but I have lots of friends who splitboard hard and they have converted and will never look back.
