The North Face Triple C Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 December 8, 2009

I have been looking for a long down coat, and had been eyeing this one because I am tall (5'9") and this is considerably longer than most "long" down coats (52" vs. 44-46"). However, when I tried it on it the length seemed pointless because the front zipper only extends down to about the knee, or even the mid-thigh on someone tall like myself. Why wear such a long coat - which may drag in the snow and get salt stains on the bottom - if it cannot add warmth below the knee because the wind is blowing in?

I bought the Patagonia downtown loft parka instead and am very happy with it.

Patagonia Downtown Loft Down Parka - Women's

October 20, 2009

I am so happy to see that Patagonia has finally come out with a long down coat! A couple of things are not clear from the description, though:
1. Is the hood also down? And does it have a cinch cord? It is hard to tell because it folds away.
2. Are there inner cuffs?
3. What is the center back length (in inches)?
4. How far down does the zipper go? And are there buttons or snaps the rest of the way, so the coat can be fully closed at the front?
Thank you...

Lolë Louise Long Jacket - Women's

What is "fiberdown"? This coat is listed on a Canadian seller's website as "down", but from your description it does not appear to be real down.
