Clown Pants

MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Pants

MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Pants

Rating for this product: 1 January 10, 2008

I returned these pants as soon as I tried them on. They were not what I was expecting at all. The fit was very wide in the legs and looked like clown pants. Two of my friends had a good laugh at my expense when they saw me put them on. They might be good for cold conditions, but I would like a fit that was a bit more tapered.

Great jacket. This is just the additional layer that I needed for my early morning hikes.

Great Lightweight Jacket

GoLite Echo Jacket - Men's

GoLite Echo Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 13, 2007

I use this jacket over a down vest in the morning when it is 40 degrees and I feel very comfortably warm. It absolutely blocks the wind. Very lightweight, so when I do take it off, it doesn't weigh down my pack.
I like Golite gear so far.

Perfect for my needs

MontBell Ultralight Down Jacket - Men's

MontBell Ultralight Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 10, 2007

I frequently hike in the morning starting at dawn. During the winter, it can get down to freezing at dawn (southern cali). I bought this jacket as a lightweight addition to my usual vest & wind shell. It works perfectly and when it warms up, I can stuff it into my pack and not even notice the weight. It seems too thin, but the high loft down really does the trick.

Design flaw?

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 January 26, 2005

I ordered a pair of these boots, but when I tried the on, the top metal lacing loop dug into the skin of my ankle. I returned this pair and asked for an exchange. The exchanged pair were even worse. I don't know how anyone could wear these boots because the top metal lacing loop is not covered by any padding and are painful when laced up. I hope North Face gets the message and corrects this design flaw.
