Black Diamond AvaLung II

November 21, 2010

How is the fit? Does it fit well with backpacks on? And does it fit well with a beacon on underneath? And if you were to get in an avalanche would it be ripped off you since you have to wear it on the outside for it to work properly? Thanks for any helpful feedback.

Black Diamond Quicksilver Screwgate Carabiner

Black Diamond Quicksilver Screwgate Carabiner

Rating for this product: 4 September 7, 2010

This carabiner is basic, medium sized, strong and less expensive. The screw-gate is basic and smooth. But the metal wears down with continuous use but isn't too bad while other carabiners hold up a little better.

Sanuk Pick Pocket Shoe - Men's

Sanuk Pick Pocket Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 7, 2010

I bought these sandals in a little bit of doubt but here I am maybe two and a half years later still wearing the same pair and mixing it up with two other pairs. Incredibly comfortable lounge around sandals. I use mine to boulder while I work at the rock wall, I take them on kayak trips and surf the sidewalks and streets with the longboards in them. Get a pair and FYI, they will feel a little uncomfortable at first possibly until they form a little better to your foot.

Armada JJ Ski

August 30, 2010

Hey would this ski work well for a 190 pound six foot three skier getting into back-country and already excelling at almost any inbounds ski resort condition at Colorado's summit county resorts like keystone breck or copper. And I'm thinking about setting the skis up with some barons to use as a quick approach to the hill and the hike up the hill to start getting in some awesome backcountry powder turns.

K2 SideStash Alpine Ski

August 2, 2010

How big should I go? I'm an aggressive skier at 6 foot 3 inch and 190 pounds. I'm going to be using the skis as an AT setup for conquering big mountains and fourteeners in Colorado. should I go with the 181 or 188 cm?

Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 6, 2009

This shell is great and incredibly versatile to any outdoors sport. I take it skiing, backpacking, just simply in the rain, or as just a warmth jacket. I hit tons of trees and tree branches all the time skiing when the path just gets too tight, I come out with no cuts or scratches or even punctures to the coat. Simply the PRO-SHELL is to incredible.
