Everyday I wake up eager to climb. If I can't climb that day I want to go back to sleep. Have been climbing for about 6 months. Went to the Purisho Bouldering competition in the Phillipines, and had completed a v3 boulder, and a 5.9b redpoint. Hope to continue and I am willing to answer any questions about climbing you got

Petzl Sama Harness - Men's

May 7, 2009

yes, I know some people that wish they got this harness before any other one. Just make sure to get the leg loop sizing right many people get it wrong. If your legs aren't proportional then it is better to get another harness with adjustable loops

Wild Country Syneregy Screwgate Carabiner

Wild Country Syneregy Screwgate Carabiner

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2009

this carabiner is awesome! It runs smoothly, strong, and looks good most of all:]. This is a big biner so that it fits almost anything. The feel of it just makes you want to trust it, it doesn't feel dinky. For the price it is great and couldn't ask for anything better. I've rapelled with this carabiner only (munter hitch) and feels great. If you want a good price carabiner thats big enough for anything and strong get this one.

Petzl Grigri Belay Device

March 28, 2009

I dont know about that but where i live you dont go outdoor climbing without a gri gri. People tend to get distracted and sorts but if someone suddenly falls and your not paying attention its gonna catch. I asked to belay with atc once and everyone just stared at me. I recommend gri gri its very safe.

Petzl Grigri Belay Device

March 28, 2009

I highly doubt this will break on you. At my local climbing gym we use the gri gri on everywall. Sometimes we get overweight people falling and going up and down all the time. Just trust the gri gri. It is meant for that stuff.

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

March 16, 2009

I have the mugens their pretty greatthey should be pretty similar, great heel. but the rubber isnt that great. similar to the flash with age it loses dexterity. so if you want this shoe get it 1-2 sizes down from your normal shoe and use it mainly for training. Sometimes the heel comes in handy outdoors but very good for indoor bouldering

Great package

Mad Rock Mars Climbing Package - Men's

Mad Rock Mars Climbing Package - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

I've been climbing for a couple months now and this package is perfect. ATC harness chalkbag and biner is great.
I guess you can say its good for beginner and really good harness. But i wouldn't recommend to keep the harness for too long. The ATC is so good its practically auto locking but still need to keep your break hand on the rope! The ATCis not the greatest brand but for BD's your basically paying for the brand anyways
So if you're just starting to climb and don't have much gear get this and all you need is the shoes

pretty good shoe

La Sportiva Barracuda Climbing Shoe

La Sportiva Barracuda Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2009

I bought this shoe from a friend at size 7 and my regular shoe size is 9.5 it was really tight at first but then i got used to it. The only problem i had is the lace ups are pretty annoying. I don't recommend for bouldering but for like some whattidly longer climbs. I like how you can adjust the heel tighter
but pretty much its pretty good

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 14, 2009

I use these shoes for light climbing and for training, and these are good. If you want to do longer climbs better to go with another shoes. The rubber wears out quickly but heel hooks are always great.
These are my first pair of shoes and i only use it for gym climbing. Good beginner shoe
