Arc'teryx Covert Zip Neck Sweater - Men's

Arc'teryx Covert Zip Neck Sweater - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 16, 2009

Used this sweater under a drysuit for scuba diving. Base layer was just a thin HH shirt, then this sweater and then laminated drysuit. Water temperature was +9 Celsius. For those farenhiters - it is bloody cold. Felt awesome - the sweater does it's job 100%. Even more, after getting back to shore between dives, took the drysuit off in a wind ( the waves started to show white caps, so I would say 13 knots). Sweater was able to hold the wind for me.

I am very happy with it. Worth the money.

Westcomb Specter LT Hooded Jacket - Men's

Westcomb Specter LT Hooded Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 24, 2009

I use it for a)trail running in Vancouver's rain-forest (it can rain for two weeks straight here) b)skiing on local mountains.

The jacket itself does not limit it's uses. It is build exceptionally well and I am impressed with the quality - they compromised for nothing. Not many things you can buy today made that well.

The material is light but very strong - I took couple of bad falls in it - no problems, not even a discoloration! Pockets are sufficient. There are no pit zips, but actually, that is what makes e-vent to vent the vapor.

The jacket is all they say it is. It is light enough to be worn just on top of base layer for running. The hood is adjustable enough to stay out of my way and still protect from heavy rain.

To go skiing I just use a bit heavier base and heavy mid layer. Jacket protects my back well on a chair and does great on runs. Keeps me dry and warm.

I would recommend it as jack of all trades. If you like me and do not want to spend big bucks on closing and rather have only one universal hard shell.
