A lot of you have been suggesting sizing down... I wear size 8.5 boots. Do you think I should stick with the mediums or go for the small?
Oh and they won't be plastic boots. They are the Scarpa Summit GTX boots.

Thanks for any input

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Hooded Jacket - Men's

December 29, 2008

I'm wondering if anyone has worn this under a hardshell jacket and if it bothers them when not wearing the hood? Is it annoying to have the extra hood stuffed back there on your back?I wish Arcteryx made a jacket with a removable hood!

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Hooded Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

I needed a good down jacket WITH a hood and have heard great things about the sub zero.

I was debating on whether to get this or the down parka and I chose this for two main reasons: for me the shorter length was nice, i didn't like the longer length of the parka. and second i liked the zippered hood instead of the buttons. I did like the layout of the pockets better on the parka though.

haven't put it to the test outdoors yet but im sure I will be happy with it.
Also, if it helps anyone. Im 6' and 140lbs and I got the Medium. It fits well by itself and also with layers (shirts, softshell, hardshell) underneath it.
