686 Duo Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 1, 2004

WOW, this jacket has more options for storage and comfort than you can want.
WARM: Living in Northern Japan is a great testing area, 50 mph winds... no sweat.... in the cold rain or blizzard snow storm.... I bought the XL and it is true to size... 686 is the best I have seen for snowboard gear.

686 quality and warmth from this insulated pant. I bought the Down Jacket and both are very easy to wear and have great options for gear storage. XL size is true to the chart.
As an all season mountain person I am very picky about my gear. This company has the right attitude for customer needs. A+++++

We have two types of BA sleeping pads, this one gives you a lot more cushion, the time it takes to blow it up is very short... fits nicely into the BA bags...
Paks and compresses fast... highly recommend this pad.

Quick, easy and no mess... great for any activity, use it hiking, or just sight seeing and we keep in the car during the winter and in our earthquake kits... highly recommend it, fuel is not an issue, have used many different brands here in Japan and I feel safe with the product.

The North Face Chilkats Zip Winter Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 4, 2004

I bought these boots for my partner and they were a little tight for her arch, so lucky for me our 10 year old fit right into them.... major savings for me on this product, in Japan these boots go for twice as much and are never in stock... thanks again.

Kelty Sage 3 Tent

Kelty Sage 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Kelty Sage 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 July 30, 2004

We took this tent for our first hike to Mt Hodake, 1586m. On the summit ran into some serious wind and rain, we put up the tent for some much needed protection for our meal break. The tent was a snap to put up, with two of us we had it secured in about 10 minutes.
Stayed dry and comfortable for our lunch.
The foot print was a great free gift, (thank you Backcountry) lots of small sharp rocks, no damage to either item.
Dries out quickly and stores easily.
The stakes are good for soft ground, brought some home made rebar types for the mountain, a little heavy, but never fail. Overall good size, With three of us with gear, and still had room to cook. Could use a gear loft.
