Not exactly. At first glance these look just as aggressive and "stylish" as the previous generation but the fit is not as true. I've only tried them on for the initial feel but the toe area is much more narrow then my speedcross 2s. My twos were a great fit right out of the box so a break in period shouldn't be necessary. I'm a bit disappointed and on the fence as to whether or not I should return them and try and find another pair of twos. I loved my speedcross 2s and got a lot of great use out of them including my run in the Warrior Dash New England 2011.

I absolutely love mine. When i first got them I could not get over how light and comfy they were. I recommended them to my co-worker as well and they agree with me that these are the most comfy, trail runners we've ever worn. I've used these for running, hiking, worn to the gym, for everyday use, ect. and they've always performed and remained comfy and dry in all conditions. I highly recommend these and suggest prying the purse strings a part for the Gore-Tex versions if you do any amount of off road trails when there's a chance of mud/ water. My only caveat would be that the grippy nubs on the soles wear kinda quick if used daily.

This was my second pair of NF shoes with the Boa lacing system. I may just have bad luck but the first set, one of the dials just plain busted (dial turned freely, couldn't tighten anymore) and the second set, the dial wouldn't release and had to pry my foot out of shoe. I gave these shoes a 4 star rating because the shoes really are awesome. They are highly water resistant, cool on your feet during hot/ long hikes, lacing was great (when it worked), great grip on all sorts of trails/ conditions, light weight, ect. I am returning the second pair and think I will just stick to good old laces going forward.
