Burton 2.5 Layer Slick Jacket - Men's - 09/10

Burton 2.5 Layer Slick Jacket - Men's - 09/10

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2010

Runs a little big, as you can expect a normal snowboarding brand to run, especially burton. I didn't really like the zipper that much, it seemed like the zipper would always get stuck. Now i know that most water proof zippers don't slide as easily as normal zippers, but this one that I had would be really hard to zip up. I am not sure if that was normal or if i got a busted one.

Besides the zipper, it was super waterproof and really light so it was a pretty good combo.

Love this shirt

Backcountry.com Logo T-Shirt - Men's

Backcountry.com Logo T-Shirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2010

Love the fit, love the thickness of the cotton, its not super light cheap shirt. you can tell it will last a while, and it has a great slim fit so it wont have such a baggy neck hole. which is nice when you are 6'2' 185lbs you don't need anything like that.

But i just want to second a review on this shirt that it does seem to run long, the fit is slim, but it will go past your fly of your pants if you don't get the right size.

Sherpa Adventure Gear Thamel Packable 2.5 Layer Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 February 20, 2010

I don't think people have been emphasizing enough in the reviews that this is a 2.5 layer jacket and is going to be thin, but its really paper thin, and super light. Great to stash at the bottom of you pack on a weekend trip or something. you can't go wrong having as a back up for normal rain.

Lib Technologies Skate Banana BTX Snowboard - Assorted Bananas

Rating for this product: 4 January 13, 2010

love the rocker and magnatraction.

I feel like the edges are slightly rounded to make it that much harder to catch and edge ridging switch.

Great pop, and will float you just fine in the power with the reverse camber.

I don't think we will see another board with this many innovations for a very long time. get one quick if you got the dough.

This Jacket is One of kind

Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 13, 2010

I just want to say this jacket is the spring jacket that I measure all other jackets too.

The sleeves are perfect, hood fit the helmet perfectly, then i could adjust the hood for when I was wearing around town very easily, and I loved the style of the jacket.

I am 6"2' 185 lbs, (I wear a 42L in suits) I got an XL and it fits great.

zipper held up great, loved how you could zip from the bottom for quick pee breaks when in the back country. The zippers had this awesome finger print design that I loved. The chest pocket was just right. I could go on and on, I am sad you did not continue with this one. I already got the stoic insulated jacket and love it, but its not the same love unfortunately.

Still a great jacket, for those wondering it seems like the sleeves are a little longer which is nice.

Love the warmth these mittens have

DAKINE Titan Mitten

DAKINE Titan Mitten

Rating for this product: 4 January 13, 2010

I just took these night skiing in about 11 degree weather, with wind and my hands were just fine. I like the goggle wipe, it works pretty good on the spherical goggles lenses.

Also they have a goggle wipe in the left hand pocket, which comes in handy when you want to have a clear dry goggle before a steep and sometimes dark tree run.

The liners are mittens too, they come out just fine. I like to take them out if I get to warm. The only thing that kind of bugs me about the mittens is that when i put the liner on, if the thumbs are not lined up perfectly i feel the seems off the thumb liner and it makes it uncomfortable since its pretty tight on me with big hands. Basically you just have to make sure it is on the right way or you will feel the lining very easily.

Stoic eVent Stash Shell - Men's

January 13, 2010

I would probably say that this jacket is can take those hard fast falls that you will hopefully not be experiencing.

But you might want to look into the bombshell. This is made of some tough stuff, to be used for alpine climbing rubbing up against rough rocks. here is the link:

Review Title

Stoic Bombshell Bib - Men's

Stoic Bombshell Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 13, 2010

These pants in the Blue are not quite as blue as I had thought, they also seem a little more tapered than I wanted them to be, and thought they would be at the bottom by the boots, so its great for skiing, but the problem is what if you snowboard also. They these seem really tight by the boots.I am 6"2' and 180lbs I got the XL and they seemed about right when I adjusted the waist belt to make more skinny, maybe a little to baggy for skiing actually, but then the actual bib were fanning out like a flower by your stomach, which makes your jacket puff out a little which bugs me. I think these are great pants for skiers only. It bugs me that Backcountry cant make something that would work for both. The zippers on this pants are perfect, where ever you think you would want a pocket, there is a pocket right where you want it, and it has great vents also. the zippers on the bib itself is a little excessive if you ask me, what are you going to put in there anyway?

Rating for this product: 5 November 6, 2009

Its Great, love the versatility in the winter time. Great after skiing, or on a backcountry day building a jumps in the spring time. I am not going to lie, this jacket turns heads. Thats all I am saying.

Likes:
Love how the zippers have the finger prints on them.
Its really soft on your face when you zip it all the way up.
Also how they have the loops on the zipper them so you can switch your lift passes around if you know what I mean.

Dislikes:
It has this really soft little stop cord on the front near your chin, that sometimes bugs when its really snowy out.

SIZING:
I am 6 foot 2 inches and 185 lbs.
It fits me just right, sleeves are just long enough how i would like them.

I would say that these will give you the stiffness and stability you need for an extreme park day. Or if you are looking for a little less extreme you will still love them. get on it.

Okay park board

Head Snowboards USA Tribute Freestyle Snowboard

Head Snowboards USA Tribute Freestyle Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 February 22, 2009

CONS
Maybe i was expecting more. I just took this up. handled the 50-80 footers a little choppy. Don't count on it for the extreme park, at kings crown in PC is where i took er out. BUT it still held its own, i am not hating completely but its max speed is not what you need for the big kicker and step ups. Didn't like in the pipe for some reason, that may have been the new bindings i had on there though.

PROS
If you are looking for a jib board you will be nailing sick presses effortlessly when you need them, great for rails and boxes. Definitely a fun jib board, your presses will be increased dramatically.

Bottom line, if you are looking to step it up in the park but don't got the cash for a vapor, this would be a good starter board or if you are still progressing from more intermediate levels.

Loving this board for nose presses and rails. definitely didn't have many vibrations when redlining the board, this board is an awesome park board, just be careful not to dent edges when you slam into the hand rails.

Ride Concept TMS Snowboard

Ride Concept TMS Snowboard

Rating for this product: 4 February 12, 2009

Used a few days, some of those days were huge pow days. Board performed under some serious conditions, only on the day before the snow came, on the groomers there was a small amount of chatter, at red line speeds.
