Oakley SI Assault 6in Boot - Men's

September 5, 2009

Interesting that the 6" black version of this boot is not offered with the breathable cordura like both the 8" black boot and the 6" desert color boot.

Too bad, because I'd like the 6" black boot but all-leather seems like it would be a bit hot for my taste.

The North Face Pamir WindStopper Jacket - Men's

December 22, 2008

Does this jacket fit like a Pumori fleece? Or more like an Apex Bionic? All three (Pumori, Pamir, Apex) are listed as having a 28" length, but the Apex is VERY short on me in the front. I'm 5' 8" and right around 150lbs. A small Pumori is just about perfect for me.

I agree with PAJL. Definitely an odd cut that did not fit me well. I'm 5' 8" and just over 150lbs. Athletic build.

Neat

The North Face Varius Guide Jacket - Men's

The North Face Varius Guide Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2008

This HyVent shell is nice and durable but noticeably heavier than say, a Gore-Tex TNF Mountain Light. That being said, it suits my needs perfectly for everyday wind/waterproof protection. I layer it with a TNF Pumori fleece for added warmth. Great combo.

Nice and warm...

The North Face Pumori Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Pumori Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2008

Material is nice, thick 200 weight fleece. I pair mine with a TNF Varius Guide. Fantastic combo thus far.

I have found that I'm right in-between a small and medium when it comes to TNF tops (5' 8" 150ish). I opted for a small in this fleece to reduce bulk when layered under my shell.
