Been boarding for about 4 years. I wanna fly on my board but don't have the skills yet. Working on it. Recently had a vicious fall after a jump. . .rotated back, flipped, and landed with axially load on my neck. Thought I'd broke it but I'm good walking around in a cervical collar. Gonna invest in some impact gear. I really wanna do some backcountry boarding.

Ride Solace Snowboard - Women's

Ride Solace Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

Labeled as directional but with my wife's 34 cm stance width I was able to make it twin control since she's goofy foot. Very lite. Rides well. Moderate kimber/flex.

Easy to use. latcheds are quite tight though. Green is more a lime green on bindings.

BOA workin' fine

DC Scout Snowboard Boot - Women's

DC Scout Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 29, 2009

Fits perfect in the heal to toe direction. Seems like the heal picks up a little when going toe side. The BOA wires are shorter than older models which is an advantage...older ones had some much wire it took forever to lace them up.

No vents, No problem

Bern Muse Hard Hat Helmet w/ Knit Liner

Bern Muse Hard Hat Helmet w/ Knit Liner

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

This helmet looks great but has no vents. However, it is warm but still vents around the foam. The liner around the ears and neck are some of the warmer and more comfortable I've seen. Highly recommend it. Very tough shell.

Great function.

Giro Encore 2 Helmet

Giro Encore 2 Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2009

The vents were nice, keep my bald head warm without steaming up. Fits well in an XL and gives good protection over the occiput or low-back base of your skull. . .an underestimated area needing protection. Forgot to mention that earlier.

NOTE TO ASIANS. PARTICULARLY FEMALES.

Dragon DXS Goggle

Dragon DXS Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2009

The ionized lenses give great viz. The smaller fit is nice but they are a little rounded near the nose making for a less than perfect fit if you have a under-projected nose and nasal bones. . .like in asians, particularly females. My wife and I found this to be the case.

DAKINE Sequoia Glove - Women's

DAKINE Sequoia Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2009

Agree that the sizing chart is a little off. I ordered my wife mediums based on measurements and they're a size big. . .exchanged them. . .no problems. Even with the black liner gloves on the gloves over all were big still. Maybe order a size smaller if you have any suspicions.

For the price i think they're great. My son rides with more confidence with the clear lenses since our days have been quite cloudy. Definitely recommend them. they fit well.

Columbia Shred Zone Jacket - Boys'

Columbia Shred Zone Jacket - Boys'

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2009

The sizing chart for this one is accurate. I agree the coat is not bulky and very warm. Good job at keeping them dry. I ordered up a size to last two seasons and he still rides comfortably without added girth. And the price is great - lifetime warranty.

Giro Encore 2 Helmet

Can't say, I tend to wear shield sunglasses, dragons, or nike optics. You can see more and the eye protection is the similar and really almost the same with face-fitting dragon sunglasses or oakleys
