Not Bad

Dragon DX Goggles w/ Ionized Lens

Dragon DX Goggles w/ Ionized Lens

Rating for this product: 3 December 22, 2008

These are great if your on a bit of a budget or are only going to do 30 days this season. Work well with or without helmet and are very comfortable. Difference between thses and a pair of more expensive google is Lense size, DX's leanse is not huge bigish but not huge. Also they tend to fog up if your wearing a mask or if there on your head while hiking.

Overall good google for the intermediate skier out there.

Giro 2008 G10 MX Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2008

Great helmet feels purfect when riding and look super cool. Amazing adjustability and never moves while riding. Great ventilation open the vent on a hot day and cool off or close them up and keep nice and warm and cam be done while keeping gloves and helmet on.
1 bad point; Googles cant be put up on top of the helmet when your not wanting to wear them beacase of the large peek.

Orverall great helmet 10/10

Nice helmet. Great for park riding as is quite light and also dosnt make it hard to see. Get the right size and get the padding sorted and it dosnt move around to much. Best of all it will save you head without breaking your bank account

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Rating for this product: 3 December 22, 2008

Anyone could pick this up and use it. However if you train you can get quite fast with it. Dose reacted a little slow when doing the fine point of the search, Also is lacking in long distance range (only really about 30m)
However it works and i maged to save my buddy with it so thats the bottome line

Alright

Pieps DSP Smart Transmitter

Pieps DSP Smart Transmitter

Rating for this product: 3 December 22, 2008

Im giving it 3 stars only if you update the softwear ever season otherwise i would say 2 stars. This beacon says it can do alot. It can do a bit but when you start making things difficult it starts being a bit of a pain. Examples the pin pointing dosnt always work and when it dose it take too long and somone who is good is better off not worrying about it. Also it eats batteries, went though 8 sets last season at work.
Bottom line, If keeped updated its Alright

BEST BOOT OUT THERE

La Sportiva Makalu Mountaineering Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Makalu Mountaineering Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2008

Love them
Had mine now for 5 years and they have been all around the word. Done quite a bit of mountain climbin in New Zealand in these boots, Climbed Mt Cook in them. Even on the rough shrap rock in NZ they held up and still look great. Can be worn as a bush boot as well and even keep my feet warm at -20 temps in Canada. They do take awhile to break in about 3 months wearing them every 3rd day or so, but if you can get through that then there worth it.
10/10

Alright Gogles

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Goggle

Smith Phenom Turbo Fan Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 December 10, 2008

These gogles work!!!

Even if they do get fogged up while you have them on top of your head while building a kicker you just just flick the fan on to high and there all good in 30sec tops. However on the downside when the fan is on high makes a bit of noise which can cut into the nice peace and quite. Also the strap dosnt fi around ether of my helments (Giro GX10 and Smith Holt)

All in all i would say these are a good pair of goggles if you are touring, hiking or doing extra activity. Not really needed if all you do is ski on lifts all day.
