Awesome Pants

Mountain Hardwear Escape Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Escape Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 6, 2011

Just got back from a week at Vail and, man, did I put these things to the test. The first three days consisted of very cold temps (-15F) with 15-25kt winds along the ridges and shoulders of the back bowls. While my old 2001 MH shell felt like I was wearing cheesecloth, these pants were fantastic. In only the worst conditions (riding up Orient Express in -12F temps and 20+kt winds) did I feel a little cold start to seep through the top of the zipper seams.

These conditions were followed by two days of beautiful, sunny weather. My son and I went nuts in the back bowls and the Blue Sky back country skiing everything from fresh, moguls, crud, wind pack, and more pow pow than I could have asked for. We skied from opening to close every day and never once did I get hot or feel crowded by these pants.

I usually washed/dried these things each night and they didn't fade, shrink, lose water repellence, or their moisture wicking properties.

I'm 6'0", weigh 210 lbs, wear size 36" waist / 33" inseam and the Large/Regular size fit perfect.

The ultimate brah shoe!!

Reef Fanning Sandal - Men's

Reef Fanning Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 13, 2010

If you live by the "5 P's" (prior planning prevents pi$$ poor performance), you'll never short of an opener for a coldie when opportunity knocks. I'm on my third pair and they rock. I've worn Fanning's fishing for 18 hours straight, gone on long walks, done yard work, and shot hoops with my son in them and they NEVER get uncomfortable. My experience is that they last about a half year with normal use and start to get a little worn out and funky after that.
