Best...Pad...Ever!

Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 August 18, 2009

Absolutely love this pad. Used it for a week long trip in the Boundary Waters and never had to repump it. Mine is the old version w/ the stuff sack pump and it worked flawlessly. I slept like a baby each night. I'm a side sleeper and my hip never touched the ground. I can say I have nothing bad to say about this pad at all. It is pricy, but I got mine cheap ($95) because it was a model closeout. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Petzl Tikka Plus Headlamp

Petzl Tikka Plus Headlamp

Rating for this product: 4 August 5, 2009

Good headlamp, did the job, no complaints on functionality. 4 stars vs. 5 because a few buddies on the trip had lamps w/ a red light option which I wish this had. Made hanging out in the dark more soothing.

Great stove

Primus EtaPower EF Trail Stove

Primus EtaPower EF Trail Stove

Rating for this product: 5 August 5, 2009

This stove performed great. Loved the case it came with. Not the lightest out there but if weight isn't an issue, this is a great stove. Boiled water extremely fast and the case made it easy to keep everything together.

Great pants

Marmot PreCip Full Zip Pant - Men's

Marmot PreCip Full Zip Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 5, 2009

Absolutely loved these. Just got back from the Boundary Waters and used these quite a bit. Note to anyone thinking of the partial zip ones vs. these. GET THE FULL ZIP! Made things so much easier to get on & off w/ dirty/muddy boots. They were pretty durable though I didn't put them through the ringer or anything. Matched up great w/ the PreCip jacket.

The North Face Tadpole 23 Bx Tent 2-Person 3-Season

April 22, 2009

I have the 2007 version and it just scrunches everything together to make as skinny as possible.
