Great deal for the price.

The North Face Slingshot Backpack - 2000cu in

The North Face Slingshot Backpack - 2000cu in

Rating for this product: 4 July 24, 2009

I was looking for a backpack with a decent amount of space but that was inexpensive, and I think I've found that in this backpack. I've been using it for a little over a week now and I'm really happy with how much stuff I can carry around. The side pockets and the straps on the front are really handy. The construction of the backpack seems to be good quality as well. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more padding on the shoulder straps--it's a little thin for my preference. But, overall, I think this bag is a great deal for what I paid. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great jacket!

The North Face Aconcagua Down Jacket - Women's

The North Face Aconcagua Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 19, 2009

I'm really enjoying my jacket. I live in South Carolina, where it's not too terribly cold in the winter, although I was getting cold in my TNF Denali and this jacket has been a great step up. When I first got the jacket, I thought it would be too thin, but it's actually worked great for me. I wore the jacket in the Midwest during the holidays, and I thought it did a pretty good job of keeping me warm then as well, except when the windchill was at -30, but I don't know what kind of coat could keep you warm at those temperatures. I normally run very cold, but my Aconcagua jacket has done a good job of keeping me warm--now it's just my legs that are cold, which is a welcome change. The outer shell has also done a great job of repelling the hair of my Shetland Sheepdog, which is a huge plus.
